Ya know what, consent doesn’t have to be sexy. It can be a clumsily whispered “is this okay?” while you’re already in the bed it can be giggling while nodding against their chest it can be awkward and stiff questions stammered out while trying to keep the foreplay up but that doesn’t take away the importance of it. Consent can in fact just be nothing more than a stepping towards getting what you want, given that all parties want the same thing and CONSENT. The way consent is talked about confuses me so much because it feels like the end game, like a prize to be won or some shit. It’s turned into this big thing when I don’t think it should be. Let consent be mundane, asking for consent should be as normal as asking someone how they want their coffee, it should be second nature. Not some convoluted ceremony with like build up or whatever. But hey maybe you’re into that, what the hell do I know I’m just some loser on the internet
