That's when they actually published the Declaration, sent it to the troops, and started taking ACTION on those powerful words! Without July 5th, July 4th would've just been a piece of paper with some signatures. 😮 This got me thinking… how often do we have those "big moment" declarations in our own lives? Those awesome "hilltop experiences" where we decide to make a change? Whether it's a New Year's resolution, a decision to start eating healthier, or a plan to pursue a dream… The declaration feels AMAZING! 🤔 Ever notice how the Prodigal Son story isn't just about the rebellious kid who comes home? There's actually TWO lost sons in this famous tale!

One son ran away and wasted everything, while the other stayed home doing all the "right" things… but both were equally far from their father's heart. The plot twist? The "good" son might have been more lost than his wild brother!

Here's what hit me:

The father ran to meet his wayward son while he was still far away - no lecture, just love ❤️

The dad threw a massive party for the son who messed up (talk about unexpected!)

Meanwhile, the "perfect" older brother couldn't even celebrate his brother's return 🤦‍♂️

Sometimes being physically present doesn't mean our hearts are actually there

Here's something fascinating I learned: Those "wise men from the East" we hear about at Christmas? They likely came from Parthia. The area now known as Afghanistan was once part of the Parthian empire! History connects in the most surprising ways. 🌟

But here's the most encouraging part: We don't have to wait for perfect circumstances to find peace. Like morning dew refreshing the grass, we can be a source of refreshment to others right where we are.
