HELLO, FRIENDS!  Due to getting busier, higher demand, and just the fact I haven’t updated it in over a year and a half, it’s time for a new commission post!  I’ve raised prices to try and bring the per-hour rate a little more in line with the rest of my professional work.

Commissions are usually open; my schedule has become busier over the past year.  

NOTES:

I can almost always take your commission, but there may be a time delay!  I generally need a month minimum; if you need something quicker than that OR I’m very busy but you need it by a certain date for a gift, we can work out a rush fee.

If you want something more complex than the prior examples, I can come up with a price for that! Multiple figures/backgrounds/etc. Will also increase the timeline.  Most full illustrations with background start around $800 and can go up to $1000+ depending on complexity, but something like a portrait with a simple background would obviously be less.  Let me know what you’re looking for and what your budget is and maybe we can work something out!  (Also, always taking professional jobs; I’ve done plenty of work in gaming and publishing, book covers, card games, even some video game work.  Get in touch!)

I prefer to paint OCs than a real person’s likeness, but can work something out if some good, clean, well-lit reference is available, i.e. better than a blurry cellphone snapshot or a webcam selfie.  I’d prefer to turn down a job without good reference than provide something neither of us are happy with.

I don’t do animals/anthro types; they’re not my forte and there are better artists out there.

Contact me via email (kim at kimsokol dot com) to let me know roughly what you’re looking for, and I’ll let you know if I can take it.  You don’t need to send a long description with reference, but at least give me a general sense of what you want.

Once I accept, email me a detailed description and any reference images you have

Send payment via paypal. I’ll generally get you a rough within 2 weeks and a hi res final within a month from the point I’m able to start; if time scales go beyond that I’ll let you know!
