I keep thinking about Clockwork appearing in Amity Park in some horrific eldritch form with clocks or something to symbolize his power over time, and Danny (as Phantom) goes up to him all happy and smiling. Amity Park, at least the ghost hunters, are collectively like “Holy sh!t, is that his dad?! Have we been hunting this guy’s kid?!” and are already dreading the consequences of what would happen if they shot Phantom in front of whatever that thing is.

And yes, he was there to pick him up so he could take him to the ghost zone for some lessons on whatever.

Bonus points if Danny also goes space eldritch when he goes up to him, but is still much smaller than Clockwork.

A proposal

Sometimes, in fandom, we just want to write id-tastic fic that rolls around in tropes that might be viewed as problematic. But we don’t want to address the problematic side of things in this particular fanwork; we just want to roll around and wallow.

It is considered courteous to give readers a heads-up via use of AO3 tags. I propose a tag that signals that a given fanwork is for rolling around, not giving a measured evaluation of anything. The MCU has carved out a space for this sort of fic with the “HYDRA Trash Party” tag, for which I commend them. Trash Party is a bit too specific to cover all of the ground I’m thinking of here, though; I propose “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat.”

For those of you not familiar with Arrested Development, Michael Bluth finds a paper bag in the freezer labeled “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat.” He opens the bag, finds a dead dove, and reacts as follows:

I remember reading a fanfic a couple of years ago were when the blessing was removed Styx showed up and bitch slapped the nymph of the little Tiber River and chewed out Hera then spat her out in front of all the romans.

And she gave Percy his blessing back 🥰

For the ocean in the underworld, what about the isle of the blessed where all the best hero’s go? Isle suggests that it’s surrounded by water so what if it was some sort of holy water sacred to Perse? Maybe it’s magical healing water like the fountain of youth or the world’s most beautiful and clear water.

If you’ve ever seen Maleficent I’m thinking of the scene were young maleficent meets Stephen by the pond full of gemstones (cus it ties into Hades god of wealth thing) and the water looks like those tourist adverts for the Mediterranean, all perfect greens and blues clear as a diamond and glittering it one too.

As for the water punishments maybe the Styx? I’ve seen in other fanfics Perse and the Styx having a special relationship because of their overlapping domain of oaths & loyalty. And the Styx would punish those to broke their oaths so maybe she and Perse would have a pond for I dunno waterboarding rapists and traitors.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen anything with fem Percy as Persephone I’m not an amazing writer so I’m just gonna throw some ideas into the world and hope someone runs with them

We’re going with the version where she’s the daughter of Demeter and Poseidon

She’s not going to have her memory’s but she does have random facts in her head and random feelings about people

She’s the goddess of cuisine because she kept inventing dishes centuries before they were invented the first time and I felt it paired well with Demeter being the goddess of the harvest

I want a new myth where when she’s the equivalent of twelve she beats Ares in a sword fight and becomes the goddess of swordsmanship

When she and Hades get married I want her to have her own place where she punishes people for betrayal or rewards them for loyalty

I want her to still have strong ocean associations so maybe she creates an ocean in the underworld and that’s where she does her reward and punishment stuff

She’s also the goddess of maritime trade she did it so she could have more foods to cook with

She’s also made a habit of helping Hero’s on quests and Turning men who try to assault women near her temples into plants

all this combined she became one of the most worshiped deity’s in the pantheon be complete accident

As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.

Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.

📚Here is my list:

The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.

"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.

"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.

"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.

"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.

"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.

"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.

"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.

"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.

Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.

📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.

For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.

💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.

Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )

Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)

Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)

PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)

NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.

So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.

I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
