I got the new Book of Dragons today because I wanted to see if the Deathgripper was legit or not. It wasn't in the book, but there was:

There is an aside comment in the opening part of the Eruptodon mentioning the "Defenders of the Wing" so I have no clue what type of continuity they're going for for the live action movies. Shovelheim is also listed in the book as a helper (Quite literally standing back then going "Alright, I see the problem." and going in to fix it without say from anyone else), so they came in after the Red Death? Also it looked like in the opening pages of the book they might have listed the dragon hatching grounds? It's a bit confusing.

Chai-ism's -

After the battle and everything settles, the others start to notice Chai does things in tempos. At first it was noticeable when Chai chugged an energy drink and he went from casual walking with some heel scuffs to near tap-dancing. When he's being ordered to do something (Meetings, put that item back etc.) and when he does things on his own order. When his tempo gets slow and they can see his face the others will quickly try to cheer him up or see what's wrong.

Funny thing is, since his own BGM is going on in his head, he hasn't realized this and as such when everyone tries to cheer him up he's confused on how they know he's in a sour/bad mood.

Depending on if someone knows the song, and they're close long enough to him, Chai's BGM leaks out into what he does. Like he'll do things to the music's beat/lyrics and it's the same effect of listening to someone drum the song on a desk. He's ecstatic if someone figures it out.

With intense emotions, his MP3 Heart's music comes out his ears. Yes, there has already been a comment made about it. Namely, during an arcade Vrs and Chai really got into it Peppermint slapped a pair of headphones onto him to allow Korsica some sense of focus.

I headcannon that Chai has a thing akin to the Doctor Who Master deal with music is always playing in his head. He can lower the volume, change the song, but can't stop it. (Though he has asked to put in some ambiance stuff that he can use as white noise) He changes music by flicking his head with intent. If he's headbanging to a song either internally or out it won't mess it up since he's not intending to change the song.

808 is the connector to Chai's MP3 tracks list. Her bluetooth to him is the Tail USB needed to change things around in there. Chai's arm might allow full control of him and able to install things into him, but 808's connection is needed to change things around with that. The songs from the game officially are the only ones that can't be altered in any way, and in fact come up as "???". (Though they do show how long they are which adds to the mystery baited fishhook whenever they're seen.)

I went into the new LA HTTYD website and after being thoroughly confused w/Fishleg's cards (I swear they're either misnamed on purpose or there's a rune that's symbol for "Hold vowel" or something.) in the Book of Dragons video this is there.

Is that...a Deathgripper?!

On one hand, I'm happy that they've included a broad range of dragons and didn't stick to just the main ones in the first movie.

I have come to realize the comment of "Not sticking to the main dragons in the first movie" bashes/removes the whole reason for the TV series and as such will keep it there for the few who have seen the post but acknowledge it's bad. (I just honestly will bend over backwards for Deathgripper in canon details)

On the other hand, I'm getting some any dragon that isn't a night fury restyle BS feelings here. Where's it's "Uses to flip prey to their belly in order to stab weak spots" tusks? Hand blades? How does that stinger at the end of the tail work?!

So going around to save crowns for SOS quests I came across this little guy because today's quests was "Do quests in Basin" and just wandered around till something caught my eye.

IT'S SO TINY! Tiny crowns are the best to go "Daawww!" at as the monster starts charging at you in all its ferocity.

To note, as I flip through Instagram I came across a new game that features brawling with the music beat ala Crypt of the Necrodancer and what looked to be a smidgen of SUPERHOT.

Someone commented on it that it looked dumb, followed by someone retorting, "Someone hasn't played Hi-Fi Rush."

We might not see Chai and the gang in focus as much anymore, but they're still on everyone's mind.

Tempered Mizutsune, AKA, "OLE!" (Shield + Triangle slide attack SaS)

I can see why people say "Take your time" with it. But it's funny when you manage to parry shield the tail slam so it stumbles or it just misses you entirely and there's that moment Mizutsune just stands there and stares in "The fuck? I thought that worked!"

Also it's a BITCH if you're near ledges...

Ah, the age of technology and the advancements of websites selling out and the like.

Re-booting my iPod in seeing if that'll work for bluetooth headphones and the like and looking through my albums. I have a lot of 8tracks playlists on there, with their original "album" art.

I wonder if any of the artists are in the category of "OH god burn it with fire!" or "Oh, I remember that one!"

Of a different note, Spring has sprung at my house with Boysenberry flowers and Cherry blossoms. Now I just gotta remember every other day a half hour of running hose to give them enough water to GROW said berries/fruit.

As a first time monster hunter, it pains me learning the hard way...

Like things don't replenish constantly, and you need to use things less frivolously.

So guess who figured out that the arena dragon and lighting slinger stuff works on the Wylk spikes especially with the AOE kill screen attack of Zoh's but don't go using it on all the crystals for REASONS.
