not to be a “this whole website is one giant social experiment” but it honestly blows my mind on how tumblr has completely twisted the genuinely good philosophy of “be thoughtful and think critically of the media you consume” and turned it into this extremist mindset where something is either completely ideologically pure in every single way (which, bad news. is impossible) or it’s the work of Complete Evil and must be banned and ignored in its entirety if found to be slightly problematic. and from this mindset has blossomed a black and white lens on human nature and a terrifying 1 strike and you’re out system with no growth mindset whatsoever

Glasswinged butterflies are a South American species known for their transparent wings. They look fragile but can carry up to 40 times their own strength. The pink butterfly in the first picture is an Amazon variety that has a “blush” shade to its clear wings.

It’s important to remember Pride month being about two things:

1. First and foremost, Pride is meant to commemorate the Stonewall Riots of June 1969, where our queer and trans ancestors of color fought against police brutality and queerphobia.

2. Love. That’s it. Just love. Love of any kind. Love between any people. Love, romantic or platonic. Love of yourself.

Love is love is love.

Here’s a kind of weird Descendants headcanon:

You know how a Neverland fairy is born every time a baby laughs for the first time? And you know how a lot of the original villains were dead but were brought back to life specifically to be imprisoned on the Isle?

I feel like the fact that these already-dead people are procreating is fueling some kind of magic. Maybe a new kind of fairy, or maybe giving different kinds of power/life to existing fairies. Personally, I prefer to think that every time a new child is born on the Isle, Peter Pan gets stronger. (But that’s possibly just because I have a well-documented fondness for Peter Pan.)

I know everyone’s excited for the next one to come out but I still have Feelings about Selfishness vs. Selflessness and i just…. gotta admire this little moment of acting. 

Particularly the opening bit. 

Thomas has a Dilemma™ and Deceit  disguised as Logan enters. And yet it isn’t until Deceit ACTUALLY shows himself that Anxiety™ Virgil pops right in like HELLO WHAT DO YOU WANT. But then they argue a bit back and forth and then things get a little more involved.

^^^ I particularly love this look Deceit gives Patton when Patton says “You don’t mean any of this. I’m your Morality, I wouldn’t be here if ya did.” and Deceit just kind of, ??? 

Cause Thomas already decided how he feels….. and then….. 

^^^ This when Thomas two seconds after Patton speaks, just agrees with Patton “Right right, you’re right,” flat out denying how he ACTUALLY feels, effectively, once again lying to himself for the betterment of his image and friend status.

^^^ And then we move into this beautiful look of dawning realization that ok he has a lot to do and this is a Very Important Teaching Moment because hoo boy guess who else has a seat at the table right now? He does.
