Thorin X Reader Imagine/ One-shot
You were the only woman in the company. At times, it was a good thing, and others, you were expected to take care of the dwarves and the hobbit. It was a cold, windy night. Your teeth chattered as you watched the fire twist and crackle. Despite the fire, your furs, and the blanket around your shoulders, you were froze to the bone. “Y/N,” You hear a voice whisper from behind you. “Come here, Y/N.” The voice, no doubt, belonged to the great Thorin Oakenshield. You rolled your eyes and shook your head. Thorin was rude to you ninety-five percent of the time. You hear his footsteps come closer to you. “Go away from me, Thorin.” You hiss. His strong arms wrap around you, warmth radiating off his body. “You looked cold, Y/N.” He whispers. “I was.” You say. He nods his head and you lean back into his chest. “Are you all right?” Thorin asks. “I’m fine, Thorin.”      “You know you aren’t. Why do you say that?”      “Leave me alone, okay?”      “I’m afraid I can’t do that, Y/N.”       What did the dwarf king have in his mind this time? “And why is that?” You ask him. “Because I love you.” Thorin says with slight confidence. You laugh. “How can you, a dwarven king, love me, a half-dwarf girl?” You chuckle. “You’re smart, beautiful and you keep my nephews out of trouble, well, you know. When you can.” For the first time, Thorin gives you one of his rare smiles. You squeal inside, but you can’t let Thorin see you squealing. “Oh, you bastard, I love you too.” Fin!
