Oh I 100% agree!! In both looks, facial movements and mannerisms. Yeom Min Hyeok could *easily* pass as Jay Sorathons long lost brother. [I legit paused the show to go google if they were somehow related 😅]

Who *I* need help with figuring out who they look like though, is Choi Jae Hyeok who plays JeongU! Quite a few times I thought he looked/acted similarly to Victor Chatchawit (ex-gmmtv actor, was most recently in The Loyal Pin and Jack & Joker) but I feel like he looks more like someone else from one of the gazillion bl/gl/ql shows I've watched over the last 6 or so years, but I can't for the life of me figure out who 😅😂

Is just me, or does Jiwon kinda looks like Junior from Caged Again?

As somone who just read the novel last week whilst travelling (because I was getting annoyed with a few aspects of the show so wanted clarification on a few things) and after having just finished watching this weeks ep, all I can say is this.... Why did they change *SO MUCH OF IT*!?! YOU MADE IT WORSE!!! NOW I'M *MORE* ANNOYED!!!!! *screams into the void* 😐😅 About 80% of my annotations are just "Why did they change this?!" "This would have been so much sweeter/funnier" etc 😆

My one praise for the show so far is that even with the changes they made, they have cast perfectly for it. When I was reading it I was like "Mark, Ohm & Poon (specifically) were made for these roles"

Changes/Novel Spoilers/Things that annoyed me about said changes are below the cut because I need to rant to *someone* about it ✂️😂

Gonna put everything in dot points because its easier. But it's not necessarily gonna be in order, just the order in which I remember things, so yeah 🤷‍♀️😅

I forget the plots of books SO FAST because I have/do read so much, and only tend to remember things that *really* annoyed me. So there *may* be more things that are different but they obviously didn't annoy me enough to remember them 😬😅

●My main complaint about the show is that Sants mum leaving him and *everything* revolving around her doing so, is near on NON-EXISTENT in the book! - So far the only thing that remotely links her back to the book is her name that she used to watch Sants streams. Sants biggest stream donator in the book is called Even (similar to E-Wen) but we never actually met them. They are there. They disappear for a bit when drama goes down, then they return. But we never actually meet them. -- So in saying that, we dont have to deal with all this "she's your mum, you should still love her even though she abandoned you and didn't return when things went wrong" redemption arc BS 😐

● Sant & Jays 'first date' is an ACTUAL blind date that they're set up on by a friend, not a result of a job that Sant does. The date itself is good, I loved it. Sant ghosting Jay for 2yrs still does happen but for ✨️reasons✨️

● Yada is essentially 2 characters from the book merged together. She is Ming, Jays bestie and fellow dental student, merged with a character who *is* called Yada. She is still Guggs love interest, and does go to the same uni but she doesn't study dentistry, she's also a famous Tiktoker that Gugg has admired for a while (we also never find out her sexuality. So this whole 'breaking up with her gf' BS doesn't happen either.)

● Jay isn't Sants dentist at the clinic, Ming is. Jay just inserted himself as Mings assistant the first time Sant was there (he had no patients himself & recognised Sant from their blind date, Sants face was covered and had no clue who it was) and then proceeded to continue doing so if he was ever available. -- Sant bailing on one of Mings appointments is actually a big turning point in the novel too.

● Captain is actually a big part of the novel compared to the show - Sant working for Captain and him being a potential love interest for Sant is still very much a thing but it is done *SO MUCH BETTER* in the novel and is actually kinda the catalyst for everything that happens.

● In saying that, Captain is much less of an idiot in the show, which I'm grateful for lol

● I'm really hoping that the mysterious 'Jeng' (whose container of stuff that Jay was staring at in Ep2) is the shows version of Gus. If they stick more towards the book it helps explain the initial animosity between Captain & Jay alot better. -- I forget exactly what Gus wanted to be, I wanna say an idol, but he moves away to do so and he's also their ex-bf... you read that right *THEIR ex-bf* 😬 Gus was Jays bf first. Then Captains. Then neither of theirs. --- I don't know how they'd work it into the show though since the 'drama' between Captain & Jay and Captain trying to hit on Sant has kinda already been dealth with.... but we shall see. 🤷‍♀️

But yeah.................

I am ~*LIVIIIIIIIING*~ for everyones reactions to Tonklas death!!! Mainly because I legit had the EXACT same reaction to it (even though it happens very differently -> will put *how* he dies under the cut for those interested) when I read the novel just a few days ago 😂 Atleast you can all be loud about it, I had to outwardly be VERY fucking cool with my reaction as it was late at night and I was on a plane...... if I was at home however?..... I would have screamed "they did-fucking-not!?!?" and thrown my kindle across the room 😬😅🤣

Tonklas death in the novel legit comes out of nowhere, there's no big fight scene or anything.

It's not even an on page death either. We dont find out about it until it has already happened and absolutely nothing can be done for him.

Now, the beach trip in the novel is just Mark & Tong, the others aren't there and it happens within the last handful of chapters not in the first half like the show. Whilst Tong & Mark are busy doing their thang Tongs phone dies, and when he plugs it in the next morning there are a bunch of missed calls from a private number, Pupae & Dome. He rings Pupae back and they straight up are just like "Tonklas dead bruh, they say he OD'd" 😐

Tong being closest to him gets questioned by police as to Tonklas state of mind -- Tonklas outward appearance however is suspicious, he was found on the apartment floor looking very gaunt - despite looking perfectly healthy when they left a few days prior, so Tong & Mark *very* quickly put two and two together that his death has been made to look like an OD but that Tonkla had infact been sucked dry off all his blood.

So yeah.... very different from the novel but it still does happen. I'm not gonna tell you WHO did it though, because where's the fun in that 🤣

I caved and paid to watch ep9 early, partially because I won't be home for the next 2 weeks but mainly because I had already been spoiled (it's not that hard to not post gifs for a week, or to just put spoilers for fast tracked episodes under the cut, no?)😔 ~~~ My general thoughts on fast tracking episodes (especially with as many left to air as Topform did) is that it's stupid. Especially in an industry that relys on "the numbers" to prove "how good a show is" because the scheduled episode doesn't get talked about, the numbers drop and then they're like "what happened!?" 🤦‍♀️ My thoughts on it is that the last episode should be the only one that can ever be fast tracked.

But anyways, what I came to actually say was ->

Firstly, Akin deserves a good slap upside the head. He needs to TRUST that there are others that genuinely care for him and that he's not alone and doesn't have to handle everything himself. As proven by the fact that Jade, Jin & Judy stepped in and 'fixed' the situation before he could go and screw himself over even more.

Secondly, I dont think there has *ever* been a sex scene in a bl that has made me cry! And not like one or two tears either... I was quietly sobbing 😐😅 To the point that my mother walked in about 5 mins later, looked at me still trying to get my shit together and was like "are you okay?" and I just replied with "I'm crying over a sex scene... so I honestly don't fucking know" 🤣

I am genuinely enjoying this show, and need others to know about it! 😊 I was a little worried that they'd flub it and kind of make it a jokey "haha we should all get married for funsies" kind of show, but after ep2, I'm kinda impressed. - Yes it is funny, and a lil silly, but it's also got a serious vibe to it too. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞

I'll try and do a lil character/show run down without giving too many spoilers about the 2 eps already out, but I can't guarantee anything because my spicy brain *needs* you to know *ALL* the information so that you can make a decision as to whether you want to watch it lol - soooo, potential spoilers below the cut I guess lol 🤷‍♀️😅

You've got Mia, who asks her ex-bf Tazuko (who she broke up with), to marry/be in a relationship with her & her current bf Shinpei because *he* suggests it after a lil misunderstanding. She does it even though she really isn't into the idea/thinks he's joking, but she really wants to marry Shinpei so goes along with it.

Then we've got Shinpei [currently my fave character] who is younger than Mia, and a dancer, who seems like he doesn't really take things seriously. But we find out in ep2 that #1 he's actually a sweetie and #2 he actually has genuine logic/reasoning as to why adding a 3rd person would work/benefit his & Mias relationship in the future. -> There is a short scene & flashback in ep 2 that seems a lil out of left field, tone wise, compared to the tone of the rest of the show, but we shall see what comes of it/how they work it into the show because it has got me hella *intruiged*.

Then there's Tazuko, an architect, who's 'boring and annoying' (a few of the reasons Mia gave for breaking up with him). He kind of gives me Tsuge from Cherry Magic vibes. Who initially is like "what the actual fuck!?" about the whole suggestion - he clocks onto what is happening pretty quickly though & even calls them out about it during a dinner at the start of ep2.....

.... but by the end of ep 2 he's actually thinking about taking the offer up, and asks Shinpei to give him time to think (1yr). Shinpei being Shinpei, however, misunderstands and thinks that means he's willing to trial it for a year 😅😂

The only other character we've really met so far is Tazukos colleague Tenma Sayo, she's my 2nd fave character and she's literally been on screen for a total of like 5mins 😅😂

OOOOH!!! And my favourite thing you ask?!?!? -> It's all narrated by Tazukos dead rabbit (that he & Mia got when they were together - and the reason why this whole situation began) called Pakkun 🐰 I wish I was joking 😬😂

Could gmmtv please learn to not put spoilers in the highlight clips... Hadn't even found part 1 in my subscribed feed before seeing this highlight clip thumbnail and was immediately like "Ohm is Tor, isn't he?" 😐 ...... Not gonna lie.... As much as I love Ohm, I kinda would have loved my delulu af theory of Tawan actually being Tor to happen instead 😬😅😂 Because as much as I love how "chill" Faifa & Wines storyline is, I just wanted a lil ✨️surprise✨️... instead I would have just been like "Ariana, what are you doing here!?" even without getting spoiled 😅

In saying that.... Finally getting around to catching up on all the shows I've missed out on in the last few days... and Us is currently winning in the making me ugly sob category 🏆😅

Grandma Buas lil speech got me good, because it is essentially my family and I's whole outlook on life after having lost 6 family members within 15yrs from various illnesses (4 of those in consecutive years - 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 - and one of them being from cancer) - You gotta not focus on what's going to happen in 2 weeks, 5 months or next year... just focus on today, and what you can do today so that you & the ones you love are happy ❤️ Go make some memories ☺️

I dont know what I just watched...... but I am 100% here for it 😅😂 I am a sucker for what I like to call 'crack bl' though, so this is right up my alley lol

Plus I feel like it could have genuinely been horrible af and I'd still continue to watch it anyways because I'm *also* a sucker for one boy by the name of Mark Pakin....... Like, I'm mostly gay, but he's got a pretty face and soothing voice, I could watch and listen to him all day 😬😅🤣

My plot theory so far is as follows::: I feel like it's very obvious that Jay actually liked Sant before hand (either he's met him before & Sant doesn't remember or he's just seen/watched him from afar) and *he* actually had Queen set up the whole "break up with him for me" job so that he could then be all "go on a date & I'll pay you for it"......... right? - Any one else get those vibes? Or if it just me? lol

It's a very doable/plausible story line too, in my eyes.... because we have 3 episodes left and with the preview for ep 22 not showing any hint of Wine going to get his bracelet, that would leave that to possibly happen at some point in the penultimate ep 23 and the ramifications of that meeting to get resolved in the last episode......... right..... RIGHT!? Please someone else tell me that they've had this thought!!! 😅🤣

It has been a full 24hrs since I watched Ep6.... and I dont think I have quite processed *that* scene yet... I feel like I've been in a state of shock ever since I watched it. 🫥

As I have stated MANY a time before, I am a very emotional/empathetic person... so before I watch episodes of shows that I know are gonna potentially be a tough watch for me, I come here and do a quick scroll through of the tags, mainly just to find out if there are any major trigger warnings. [1st eps I usually go in blind, then go off the ✨️vibes✨️ of that episode as to wether I check before watching the next weeks episode]. Just so that I can kind of prepare myself, because although I thoroughly enjoy "full on" shows, I *have* had a few instances before where it has taken me a solid hour or two to calm myself down after watching a show... it's not a fun thing to have to do - but, it has been a *HOT* minute since a character or show has genuinely affected me in that way........ that was until Secret Relationships.

Because even *WITH* trigger warnings this week it still got to me. That last scene? Damn Kim Ho Young (Jae Min)!! I stayed seated on my couch, hands shaking, staring at my tv screen, for about 5 minutes before being able to bring myself to even get up to get a drink of water. And Cha Jung Woo (SooHyun) has been giving me literal full body goosebumps pretty much from the get go... his portrayal of SooHyun genuinely scares me 😐

1. Not horrible, but not exactly good. Which means I'm gonna like it, cause that's just how my brain works 😅

2. Is this what watching the first Twilight movie for the first time felt like? 😬 [I've only ever watched breaking dawn pt2 and have blocked most of it out because I got dragged along to it by a gf who didn't want to go alone 😅]

3. Wtf was going on with the sound??? Sounds like we were under a blanket or water at points.

4. Running an anti-aging company as a cover story as to why you always look young was actually gold, that gave me a good lil giggle 😂

5. I love Gawin... but is anyone feeling *ANY* chemistry between him and Joss? Cause I'm not.. Hopefully it gets better.. but as stated in dot point #1, even if it doesn't I'll probably still like them lol

6. Fully expected the special effects to be much worse... so good job on that front 🤣

7. Aunty Wan is my favourite and we've had her for 2 minutes 😊 "You can let your guard down with me. I will give you snacks when we get in - Aunty Wan, you're being even more suspicious if you lure him in with snacks - well I don't like forcing people like a certain someone" 😂 The snacks & calling out Mark *chefs kiss* Love her!

17 days..... It has been *SEVENTEEN DAYS* since I last violently sobbed over a break up (that I knew was coming) in a gmmtv show... *slow claps* 👏 👏 👏 good job gmmtv, you are on a roll 😬😅

But also, why you gotta ruin the start of my week!? 😂 Twas extremely rude of you to not consult with me and take into consideration the fact that I've had like 4 of my hyperfixation shows end *AND* had to deal with a cyclone this past week!? I am yet to finish this weeks episode, I'm exactly half way through it atm.... but can I just pre-emptively say.... [novel spoilers below the cut]

That as a novel reader I am *SO GAHD DAYUM HAPPY* that they have gone down the route of giving us *actual* parrallel universes/dimensions!!! 😁 Because the book literally has Phu mention the fact that Cirs scar is missing and that he thinks Cirs gone back to his universe -> then No-Scar-Cir is a bit of a dick and the drama with his fiancee begins -> then all of a sudden Cir (with the scar) is back and there is no real explanation about it all, until the very brief/vague "explanation" of the 3 day switch in one of the special chapters. --- So personally, even if it is a little confusing, this is much better than the novel so far 👌 Ask me again by the end of the episode and my answer may be different, but right now? It's a positive change to the novel.
