here i have taken my ideas further by creating models which could possibly merge into the modular parts i really like how we used nets that had art already on it this was because it made it look as thought it had street graffiti art plastered on all of the walls something that i would like to do in future is develop my modular city by adding in other shape buildings and roof this is because it will make it look more like a city as-well as it will add more to look at.

these Intaglio prints where done at the very beginning of the project when i originally just wanted to create one house that would randomly generate i really like the journey and paths this project has gone down as my final project has now tuned out to be a huge random city i like this more that the original idea because i can also use it more like a map for game as well as take image of the city. this intaglio print was a great experiment to do early on because it gave me lot of ideas it also helped me to simple down my designs giving it a more minimalistic look.

Here I have begun to create a spawner in which is able to spawn in more spawners on top of the different buildings in order to change there heights . In order to do this I have got all of the different locations of buildings aswell as the 4 individual walls and set a varies or between numbers in order to make it so that the tallest building will be so tall and the smallest a certain height in order to make sure that all of the walls are the same height I also had to make sure that they were looped to maintain all the walls on a Individual building stayed the same height

Here is the final outcome of my project i feel as though i have achieved what i set out to do this is because i have created a randomly generate building as well as a randomly generated city this is because all of the sky scrapers generate different hights as well as the modular parts are able to randomise to create walls i have also added in more elements of random by not making it so that doors aren't confided to the floor an instead the buildings are not as functional more art like the work of Filip Dujardin. if i was to take this further i feel as though i could add even more modular walls to give even more variety in the randomness of walls as well as i could try and texture to the walls. in this project i have learnt many skills by using maya even more as well as trying out different software's such as blender i have also learnt using unreal engine mor depth in order to create the random generators for example the wall spawners and trying to get them to align and spawners to span in more buildings and try to get a method of how to all of the building modulars to vary in different heights.

When now having a finished product of what my building looks like i have found that it looks very similar to how they created ships in different Sc fi movies and shows such as Star Wars and star trek this is a method called greebles in which old parts in the case of Star Wars old machine parts from WW2 and put together in random places to add texture to walls. this is also similar to kitbashing this is when you take modular parts of a kit and randomly place them together i order to get a completely new outcome. i really like the effect that this gives of as from a distance it adds a lot of detail to a structure and adds depth since my building also hasn't got any texture and colour it makes it look a lot like a spaceship something that i have now come to really like the look of as it makes the standout when looking at it closely and makes it look futuristic from a far.

Here are a few screen shots of what my buildings are looking like so far i managed to create a building that is able to generate itself using the random parts from this is as then able to generate the buildings in a grid this isn't that random however to take this further my next plan is tome make it so that each time the buildings will be able to randomly generate a different heights i feel that this make it look even more like a city instead a just a load of rectangles in a row which doesn't feel that random. i have also made the building walls fit together perfectly something that i had difficult with as the modular parts spaced at different sizes by i managed to find the size to make them fit. i have also made it so that you can now walk around the city and there is Collison on the building next i aim to add small details such as roads and lamp signs to make it feel even more like a city.

First I recreated the building spawned in one single blueprint this meant that I would be able to select all 4 walls spawners collectivity.
Next I created a city spawner in which the buildings loop from the first index which is 4 creating 5 buildings to reappear it’s self creating a single line of buildings
Next of the line of buildings I wanted to created another loop that would allow me to spawn the buildings in multiple rows making it look more like city in order to do this I got new x and y values and changed the distance between each building as well as the place each would spawn.

Filip Dujardin is a photographer that designs architecture in a digital realm the Belgian artists began to take his photography even further by pushing the realms of reality in 2007 after he was a professional Architectual photographer he creates these mind-bending structures in SketchUp as well as photoshop when looking at his wok it sems vaguely realistic until you take a deeper dive and see buildings that are physically impossible to create. I really like the exquisite architectural compositions that he uses especially in the last this is something that coincidently looks somewhat similar to the kind of building that i have created.

In order to get even more inspiration for modular parts to create my randomised house I went out in London in order to take photos of different walls, windows and doors. I found that this was really helpful because I was able to get more inspiration as well as get an idea of what the modular parts could look like if I added texture to them. To improve and take my ideas further I could go back to what I did when starting my project and create a building with these different parts.

Here is some street Photography of some Highrise buildings that i have taken on my trip to London i found that this was a perfect experience in order form to gather references for different proportions and styles of buildings that i could try and replicate in my buildings. since i plan on creating buildings that are able to randomly generate together to ka e city it would be cool to as well as make the have different heights but also have them o have different shapes this would help to push the randomness of the city even further as something that i really like about the buildings some f these photos are that there are the huge skyscraper buildings right next to these old-style buildings.

jason Boyd Kinsella’s creates portraits which reduce people to building blocks. The varying shapes, colours and sizes of these blocks are specific to each portrait and interlock in a multitude of different ways. i really like the look of all his artwork and how the subjects are portrayed and made up using a variety of different shapes when it comes to creating my architectural random city it would be cool to have modular parts that have striking colours or models that vary in size to add a variety of different style buildings and build a better picture it would also be cool if i could maybe try and add a hidden image some the modular assets to make it look like something different.

Here I have begun to take my ideas even further by placing my building my randomly generated building in a completely new environment in the style of Jg ballards a burning world. This is because i found that the description of the world in this book has such a strong sense world ending i thought it would be quite cool to have shown a contrast between a building that looks new a world in destruction. in order i make this piece i took the building image and place it into photoshop and selected find edges in order to get an outline i hen hanged around the fill colour and added a red background and added a filter i did a similar thing when creating the sculpture except i also added in shadows.

Peter Belyi - ‘Danger Zone’ - Scale, form, material, texture, crumbling
Peter Belyis danger is an art installation in which shows the romantic ruins of technical post industrial ruins in the art you are able to see old models lost in detail that have been partially destroyed and randomly placed the buildings look as thought they have destroyed by nuclear weapons and now have been left alone still and lifeless. when creating my modular assets i want to take the randomness of destruction on a buildings look onto mine by maybe have destroyed modular assets in there as well.

Here i have created a randomised city in the style of the JG Ballard book the crystal world a story about the leaking of time in the west African jungle hence why i have chosen a green colour scheme trees have also metamorphose into enormous jewels as well crocodiles have become encased in glittered skins this dazzling world has been overcome with jewels and striking shapes. i wanted to show this by creating. a randomised building that looks out of place like the gems in jungle. i really like using a different medium for creating my work and has given my some inspiration for when it comes to actually create the random structures this is helpful as now i have some ideas for where i could set the scenes as well as what i want the random buildings to look like.

Here I have started to look at trying to create my randomised building in different mediums in this piece i have taken inspiration form the book passport to eternity a book set in the future which describes a world in which people are lost in the mind and locked in eternity i the dream of Osiris. something that took away from the book was corrupt sequences i used this term literally and created sequences of buildings by arraying and layering the together to almost make blueprints of the buildings 3d making them feel unreal and dream like. in order to create this i tried to learn a new software that i have used before which was illustrator i found using this was better than using photoshop for a project his is because it has more tools that carter o creating lines and 3d objects.

Now I'm getting closer to the final product i have created a building that is able to generate itself in hundreds of different ways each time you look at the building next i plan on taking it further by creating a city by then randomizing the whole building in different ways. i also plan to add even more different parts of the building. and if i get enough time at the end i think that it would be really cool if i could try an add Some different textures to the modular walls. as well try to create and create a city that is able to randomly generate itself creating rows of building all of which at different heights.
