Losing your body isn’t much like losing your mind. Although more often than not, it goes hand in hand. When you lose your physical self, it’s as if there’s no real place you feel you can occupy. Everything’s uncomfortable, feeling like you’re wearing an itchy skin-sweater that’s double ducked taped around your whole. Feeling like the lights are always too bright, your hand’s not your hand and the “wait, we’re talking underwater… right?” Things go through one ear, sounding like gurgling water, and come dripping right out the other. Everything’s fuzzy. Everything’s wavy and disturbed. Reality is spelled upside-down. When you touch anything, all it ever feels like is static on the TV and you have to grip it tight to make sure it doesn’t fade away. When you think, sporadically as you do, you can’t think for too long because then you lose that, too. Nothing is linear in your mind and nothing is sensical. Thoughts are only repetitive, intense, and rarely ever cohesive. Overwhelming—another over-used word I could say describes this. Sure, I could give a list of 100 words that would fit and yet again, none would fully do it justice. I can’t put names to these feelings. These are just fleeting, flashing sensations that I can’t describe. My brain power is diminishing, losing this fight.

I am getting so tired. There’s so much to do, so much to think about. But I can only do or think so often. I can only split myself when I am whole. But I am not whole, I have never been. I’m torn to pieces, I’m thrown everywhere. Here and there

Stuffed in between the cracks no one bothers to check. I haven’t a single clue
