I find it interesting how in Lucky Cyan and Queen's arcs we see events that happened during or after the E Souls' fight but nobody mentions it. Like, you'd think that it would be the biggest news in the world that E Soul was killed by some 20-something, and now that 20-something is E Soul now.

But, for the heroes especially, it's honestly probably business as usual for them. Heroes rise and fall all the time, not to mention the "only one person can be X" attitude we explored in Queen's arc, so E Soul being someone else isn't super of note.

Also is very notable that all heroes so far have been under 30 and have no memory and likely little attachment to the apocalyptic event that E Soul saved the world from. They were born after the commercialization of heroes that just doubles the fact that it was just a Tuesday for them.

Like, we also saw this with the og Nice with how his banner in an instant replaced with Lin Ling's new persona The Commoner, but damn, in this world even if you saved everyone at some point your death will still be a blip in the public consciousness.

i feel like an often-overlooked downside to 10-episode seasons and the death of the "monster of the week" format is that we get way less whump variety nowadays. used to be that there'd be dozens of opportunities for your fave to get punched or kidnapped or hypnotized or what have you. these days if it doesn't fit into the main plot, it just doesn't happen. this is a tragedy. we should be protesting.

The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.

was talking to a coworker and realised i could not for the life of me remember his name but i was too embarrassed to ask because we've spoken multiple times so mid-conversation i started concocting a plan to nudge the conversation towards the ID photos on our building passes so that i could be like oh my ID photo is awful haha the camera they use to take these has a real talent for making me look as unphotogenic as possible and then he would say oh yes me too haha everyone says that (because they do) and then i would be able to say well let me see yours it can't be as bad as mine! and he would show me his ID because we are coworkers and why wouldn't he and this would allow me to see his building pass which of course would have his name on it and then i would be able to say well yours is perfectly nice it must be me that's the problem! and then we would have a polite chuckle about it and i would have his name without needing to ask for it and he would be none the wiser and all would be well but then before i could execute this fine plan a little voice in my head went "so this is some light yagami bull shit you are about to pull" which was such a violent reality check it shocked me completely out of my embarrassment and i went "hey im so sorry your name has slipped my mind could you remind me" and he did and it was fine.
