I see this tree in a lot of places in Whatcom County. Mainly in retail and rental places.
From my brief search, it looks loke an arborvitae or a leyland cypress - but I’m not confident enough to say for sure that’s what it is. I’m very glad to have been able to get a good closeup of the little brown ends, at the very least.

Image 1: a tree (some kind of evergreen) with shelf fungus. I was leaving a trail when my husband pointed it out.
Images 1 and 2: I did not expdct to see this texture up close. Lots of tiny holes! And it looks like pancakes. Tasty….probably not. Do not eat.

This is another cone bearing tree that I can’t identify. It has these amazing little pink Christmas tree shaped structures on it.
This was taken in a lakeside park trail that seems to be new. While the tree doesn’t look out of place, it looked specially placed and isn’t something I’ve seen before.

I have moved accounts on over to @rando-plants. I really wish I could have just stuck with this one, but not having the features of a main account was too hampering.

I pulled all the plant photos off my tablet except for these. Turns out I had 300 or so plant pics, random macros & screencaps. I am responsible with data limits.
I will be very busy the next two weeks, so no idea how much time I can devote to finishing up the move from @randoplants to @rando-plants . But I will for sure be continuing to learn new stuff and plant new green friends. And of course snap enough plant pictures to replace what I archived.

The horticultural oil didn't work, and now Jojo has rotted past the point of saving. :/ This could have easily been prevented with proper labelling.

I love the tin foil thing you've got set up. That's ingenious and a nice inexpensive way to do it!

I’m going to try two propagation methods. The first one will be in soil (which I ran out of the other day and need to go buy) and the second is the leaves hovering above some water. I cant wait to see the results.
