El 谩lbum Diamond Dogs de David Bowie cumple hoy 50 a帽os desde su lanzamiento! (24 de Mayo de 1974)
脕lbum inspirado en el libro de 1984 de George Orwell, que incluso incluye una canci贸n llamada as铆.
En este 谩lbum David Bowie crea a su alterego Halloween Jack.

Este 谩lbum es uno que definitivamente me cambi贸 la vida, me dio esperanza, me identifique con el, me divierte, me hipnotiza, me da un sentido de pertenencia.

Siendo Rebel Rebel el mayor 茅xito, una canci贸n que est谩 bastante fuera del sonido del 谩lbum, pero teniendo una letra dedicada a todos los fans de Bowie!

Que en ese momento Bowie ya era reconocido como un gran 铆dolo, siendo incluso noticia que muchos se hab铆an cortado y pintado del cabello de rojo por el (yo misma he echo eso tambi茅n)

Antes sol铆a tener la canci贸n Future Legend de tono de alarma, a煤n recuerdo todas las ma帽anas que me despert茅 y la o铆 antes de salir a la calle antes del amanecer.
[Bowie] tricked me into doing the cover artwork. It was only when we were at the session that he finally asked me if I would do a painting for him. The idea was so interesting I couldn't resist.

Es un 谩lbum precioso, y una de las cosas que m谩s amo es sus transiciones de canci贸n a canci贸n, siendo muy impecables.

They were all little Johnny Rottens and Sid Viciouses really. And, in my mind, there was no means of transport... So there were these gangs of squeaking, roller-skating, vicious hoods, with Bowie knives and furs on, and they were all skinny because they hadn't eaten enough, and they all had funny-coloured hair. In a way, it was a precursor to the punk thing.

Mi canci贸n favorita es We Are The Dead, me indentifico much铆simo con ella...

Tambi茅n siendo Sweet Thing una canci贸n que me hace llorar de la manera tan intensa de cantar de Bowie en ella.
Igual me encanta como termina el disco, de una manera bastante experimetal. Est谩 煤ltima canci贸n incluso me recuerda much铆simo a la pel铆cula de La Naranja Mec谩nica.

Este 谩lbum tambi茅n tiene el sonido que hab铆a deseado oir en la m煤sica toda mi vida, solo me falta leer el libro de 1984 para quedar satisfecha.
