rapunzel's original name is halina --- though never once used while growing up as gothel renamed her. when she reunited with her parents they called her halina then later corrected themselves and called their daughter by the name she was used to. however, rapunzel didn't mind her parents calling her by her given name and encouraged them to. the king and queen of corona will often use her given name as a term of endearment, and whenever they reprimand rapunzel for getting into trouble. they gave her the title --- the shining light of corona, as she fulfilled the meaning of her true name by being a constant light to the kingdom and its people.
