my recallahollowheart theory is that the whole thing symbolizes depression. how it takes people and isolates them

how it lingers far, but always there, like it's watching you

and how desperately dragon doesn't want to lose ace to it while having to fight his own growing depression. like it even disrupts his recording sessions

and even the whole look of that area, it feels empty. it feels sad. it reminds me of how it feels being isolated and depressed
