This is the areas in which censorship really shot the storytelling in the foot. I don’t even like Wangxian in the book and then finally ending up on the same page gives this arc the catharsis it really needed.

It helping early on ends up helping too because hou end up like noooo these crazy kids need to make it out of this objectively dangerous situation so they can finally enjoy being on that same page. So basically you get a bit more than it just being like “now let’s get made at jiggy in different ways” (also briefly at wwx)

Damn, those episodes are LONG. On rewatch, I feel like they need to break off in different points or something so it doesn’t just stay at the same level of tension.

The immune response is kicking in enough that I said “dude SAME” aloud when JGY was slumped against the pillar all haggard from losing an arm, so now it is time to sleep!

they always say that scent is the sense connecting with memory and good lord they werent wrong. I ran out of incense cones early in the summer… maybe even spring? Never replaced them. But I bought some this weekend and have already burned a couple and now my place smells faintly of incense (not enough to drift to neighbors!)

but yeah when I moved here I was burning this stuff all the time to purify the place and so the unexpected scent of it when I got home from work just now has me in my feelings like “this is home 🥺”

team black this team green that. how about we all have fun and enjoy the DYNAMIC at play, the way rhaenyra and alicent are doomed from the start and a product of their upbringings and the environments they were forced into. two women navigating a male dominated society, albeit at different levels since rhaenyra is a targaryen. we are not meant to root for anyone, they’re all complicit in awful behaviour but it’s kind of beautiful to watch, no?

Whatever is going on with Viserys right now is so morbidly funny to me cause he was trying SO HARD to have a Normal One this whole episode but his entire family is insane and plotting to either kill each other or fuck each other (daemon and Rhaenyra had always been a headache and alicent was the last normal one in his eyes but even she chose violence today) like at this point he’s probably manifesting his own death just to get out of there
