Happy belated birthday, @ellietheduck. My sincere apologies for missing the party. It’s not always easy being the buffer between Heaven and Hell.
Tumblr media
Good Morning My Loves,
Well this has been a week. First I’d like to congratulate @angelo-rib-shack @angelo-chuck-wagon for their wonderful Drag Show. What fun!!! I actually think it’s still going on….(but isn’t every day a good day for drag)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just look at these beauties! @mr-crawleigh you are a DELIGHT!!!! I think you’ve been in Ashtoreth’s wardrobe 🔥
I’m sure we have all had to take a step back, breathe, and come to the realization that this fandom is OURS. WE create the laughs. WE create the love. WE create the JOY.
Today I want to offer you a soft spot to land, a quiet place to reflect. But I also offer, a place to laugh, to be silly, to spread love and joy in anyway you possibly desire.
A “friend” of mine once said: “Did you ever wonder what’s the point? Demons, Angels, Heaven, Hell…..it’s all pointless.” I think what he meant was why are we adversaries? Why not just get along? We all want the same thing, happiness. And who we find that happiness with is OUR CHOICE. It’s not for anyone else to say if it’s right or wrong.
Tumblr media
Funny old world, that a demon may be the kindest of all.
On that note, I offer you food and drink, conversation and love (not necessarily in that order).
And as another friend said, “we’ll be ok.”
And we will. ♥️

Raven remains rooted to where he is and nods. “That was for the best for Kaia. She needs stability.” Gesturing toward Elsa’s necklace, he asks, “That’s an interesting looking pendant. Does it symbolize something?”
CLOSED STARTER FOR @raven-the-nephalem
Cold wind swept through the streets of Soho. The sun glistened, shining brightly whilst giving the smallest bit of warmth.
Elsa walked towards the bookshop, feeling the wind blow through the loose strands and fly aways of her braid. Her hair was particularly messy today, mainly due to the wind tugging at it.
She didn’t mind, though, she actually rather found it felt nice and freeing.
Elsa then felt something other than the wind, she felt eyes watching her. She looked around, searching. She spotted a being over the road, their eyes fixated on her.
She quickly ran into her father’s bookshop then, opening and shutting the door behind her with a small thud.
I better not have a target on my back again. She thought, and sauntered over to one of the shelves.

“Satan hardly notices much,” Raven laughs. “It must be nice that the angels and demons don’t pay attention to you. They meddle in everything, especially if it involves Aziraphale and Crowley. I don’t understand why they can’t just let them be.”

Raven unwinds at Nina’s coffee shop, savoring a cup of tea. Between handling jobs for both Heaven and Hell and keeping the angels and demons in check, it’s been a long, exhausting day.
He hangs out until closing time, requesting another cup of tea to go, and saunters to St. James Park. It’s dusk. The sun is setting. He sits right at the edge of the pond, sprawling out in the cool grass.
Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath, tensing when he smells something within the gentle breeze. Propping himself up on his elbows, he sniffs the air. He’s scenting another Nephalem. “There’s no way,” he murmurs, peering around. “I’m the only of my kind.”
Since the beginning of time, he’s never seen another Nephalem. When he was brought into existence by God and Satan, the original plan had been to create more. But they quickly realized how powerful Raven is — and how dangerous he could be if placed into the wrong hands.
Scanning his surroundings, he quietly asks, “Where are you?” He scents the air again. “I can smell you.”

After a few minutes, Raven pulls back and miracles a bag of frozen peas into his hands. “Do you want to go to St. James Park?” He then adds, “Do you think grocery store clerks wonder what keeps happening to their supply of frozen peas?”
CLOSED STARTER FOR @sad-and-sassy-nephalae
It’s dusk. The sun begins to fade, and the stars gradually fleck the evening sky. The streets of London are quiet, calm, peaceful. There’s not a soul out.
Raven stands at the frost-coated window inside Nina’s coffee shop, savoring the tea that she’d made for him. Mm, London fog, he thinks. He’d requested to be surprised.
He raises then lowers his left hand, harnessing the powers of Heaven and Hell, and watches dark clouds begin to circulate in the sky. Winter is an off season for thunderstorms, but he loves them. With another subtle hand gesture, bolts of lightning streak across the night sky, and thunder rumbles overhead.

“You were there? I’m sorry, I don’t recall seeing you.”
He grins crookedly.
“The renovation was fun. I’m such a joy to be around.” He chuckles. “I’m certain I was getting on Crowley’s nerves. He’d never admit it, but he enjoys my company.”

Raven regards Lehksa curiously and gets lost in thought. Finally, he speaks. “How do God and Satan not know of your existence? The angels? Demons?”
A brief pause.
“How did I not know of your existence? How did you just spawn into being?”
He glances at the humans feeding bread to the ducks and huffs in annoyance as well.

“Of course.” He dips his head, eyeing her outstretched arms speculatively. After a long moment, he sinks into them.
It’s been so long since he’s had a hug. He often isolates himself, despite having a close relationship with Kaia, Aziraphale and Crowley.

“Thank you,” he answers quietly, sitting beside her. “The last few decades?” he prompts, taking a small sip of his tea. “I’ve been around since the beginning, Lehksa, and I never knew there were other Nephalem. I was created by both God and Satan. They wanted to create more of us, but the moment they realized how dangerously powerful I could be, they decided against it.”
He pauses.
“But here you are.”

“I’m afraid I don’t remember you.” Raven crouches to the floor, maintaining his distance. “My apologies. It seems to have been many years, and your memories — well, they’re not telling me much more than that.”
He scratches his head and laughs awkwardly. “I’ll apologize for that too. It’s something I do to determine whether I can trust someone or not. How exactly do you know me?”

Raven dips his head and watches Kaia in silence for a moment. “I often wonder…” He stops. “I often wonder — erm — what I’d be like if I didn’t have this darkness inside me. This thing I fight to keep contained every day.”
He ruffles his hair. “Sorry. Your trauma does not define you, Kaia, but it has helped to shape you into who you are today. You are strong. A survivor.”

Letting his hand drop to his side, Raven tilts his head curiously, watching her with a guarded expression for a few brief moments before answering.
“Yes.” He nods. “Mainly when I need to decompress. I especially prefer to hang out here at night when there’s not as many humans. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the ducks make good company.”
He pauses. “Lehksa,” he starts, “for centuries, I thought I was the only Nephalem to exist.“

Raven scans the bookshop and cautiously walks toward the source of power. The strength that’s emanating from her is almost overwhelming, but he keeps moving forward. He stops when he’s a mere few feet away from where she’s hiding and speaks with the gentlest tone of voice.
“I’m not going to hurt you.” He carefully sifts through her memories and — how very telling.
“You know me.”

“Both of you are survivors.”
Raven looks up at the night sky, awestruck, and goes quiet for a moment. He understands why Crowley and Aziraphale are so protective. He himself is just the same — fiercely protective and loyal to a fault.
It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but there is darkness within him, and it has threatened to consume him before when someone he is close to is put in harm’s way. Fortunately, he’s learned to keep it contained, but it’s always going to be part of him.
Pulling himself back to reality, he glances at Kaia. “Sorry. I was … thinking.”

Raven sniffs the air again, following the scent, and sits up, angling his body toward the bench.
It’s then that he spots her.
He draws in a quiet breath and springs to his feet. He can feel his wings rustling beneath his skin. Manifesting calming energy, he cautiously approaches the bench, maintaining a distance of several feet.
“You’re a Nephalem.” It’s not a question. “Like me.” He clears his throat, extending his hand. “Raven. Charmed.”
