“BEFORE THE TEA GETS COLD”

The story takes place in a small Europian town.A young woman around in her twenties is walking down the street of her home town.The air is fresh and the sight of the town together with the warm sunny weather makes people feel relaxed and at ease.

The young woman’s feet start to hurt from walking for so long and the weather was getting warmer by the minute.She looked around for a spot where she could rest for a while and read her book.All caffès seem to be full with people and a restaurant would be to fancy for her.As she was loosing hope of getting some rest she noticed a small bakery she never noticed before in her hometown.”The bakery must be new”.Walking toward the bakery that was almost hidden she gets anxious for some reason but enters regardless.”Welcome” a young voice shouts.It was a handsome tall man.”take a seat wherever you would like” he says.The bakery was cozy and had a cold air to it unlike the weather outside, but the anxious feeling was still lingering over her.

“My name is Eden what would you like”.The young woman responds “The name is Sofia,I never saw this bakery before, are you new in town?”

Eden: Yes its new

Sofia: Oh alright.What would you recommend?

Eden: Depends

Sofia: depends on what?

Eden: tell me Sofia do you believe in magic?

Sofia looks at Eden, she can’t help but think to herself that it was a mistake coming in here since the owner isn’t normal clearly.

Sofia: why do you ask?

Eden: If you had a chance to travel back in time would you do it? If you had the chance to go back and talk to a person who’s no longer in your life would you take it?

Sofia shocked by the question can’t help but think of her husband who passed away.She thinks about how on the day he died they had a big fight and she never had the chance to apologize to him.She even blamed herself for his death.She asks herself every day if he would have stilled lived if she never told him to die.

Sofia: well if I had the chance to travel back in time I would do it just so I can talk to my husband one last time.

Eden smirks at Sofia and then he goes behind the counter and starts making……tea?.Sofia watches him make the tea.It takes about 8 minutes till he comes back to her.He places a beautiful cup on her table.The cup has a beautiful color to it almost as if it’s made out of pure gold and silver.While looking at the cup she can’t help but start to get that nervous feeling from before.Eden pours the tea into the cup.

Eden: Listen to me, this isn’t a normal cup of tea.It posses magic and will allow you to go back in time so you can talk to the person who’s no longer in your life.But there’s a simple rule that you must follow.When you take a sip it will teleport you where you have the chance to talk to your husband.To teleport back in this reality you will have to take a sip again.BUT if you don’t take the sip before the tea gets cold you will be stuck in the past reliving the same day over and over.Do you understand?

Sofia nods and takes a sip she closes her eyes as a weird dust of smoke fills the bakery.When she opens her eyes she almost tiers up.Her dead husband sits before her.

Sofia: Frederick!! Is it really you?

Frederick: Who else would it be?

Sofia: I missed you so much!!

Frederick looks confused.

Frederick: What do you mean? We see each other every day?

Her husband doesent know that he passed away in the future.She realizes that she’s in the past not the present so how would he know that he’s no longer alive.

Sofia: listen honey I can’t stay for long.Im sorry for all the time I would yell at you and I’m sorry for never appreciating what you have done for me.I was blinded by money and never realized how much you overworked yourself for me.Im the reason your health has gotten so bad.I love you and I know someday we will be reunited again.

Tears flow from her eyes, she lays a finger on the cup and notices that it’s starting to get cold.Thats a sign that she must take a sip before she gets stuck reliving this day over and over again.She lifts up the cup and drinks what’s left of the tea.Smoke starts to fill around her again and when she opens her eyes she sees Eden standing infront of her.

Eden: You’re back, I’m surprised I thought u would be one of those people who forget the rule and get stuck.

Sofia: Is it possible for me to come from now on everyday so I can visit my husband?

Eden: I’m sorry Sofia but my bakery never stays at one place.I travel from town to town giving people a chance to travel back in time

A young wizard pony sat comfortably in her library.The weather was nice and she was focused on her studies.The week was a busy one for her so it was nice to finally be able to relax and focus on her research.As she was flipping through books she needed a strange book on the shelf caught her attention.

Inside the book was a strange language she couldn’t understand, even some pages of the book appeared to be ripped out.The only thing that made sense about the book were the pictures of places in some pages.She could recognize the places as she was a researcher and they were familiar.While admiring the beautiful places slowly the pictures started to move.At first she thought her eyes were playing a trick on her but after looking again and again it was obvious that the pictures were moving.

It was as if the book was a portal to any place where you could go through or unlock it.She closed the book standing there and thinking of this is really some sort of magical spell book that can unlock portals to different places across the world.
