Midnights is a wild ride of an album and I couldn’t be happier that my co pilot on this adventure was Jack Antonoff. He’s my friend for life (presumptuous I know but I stand by it) and we’ve been making music together for nearly a decade HOWEVER… this is our first album we’ve done with just the two of us as main collaborators. We’d been toying with ideas and had written a few things we loved, but Midnights actually really coalesced and flowed out of us when our partners (both actors) did a film together in Panama. Jack and I found ourselves back in New York, alone, recording every night, staying up late and exploring old memories and midnights past. We were so lucky to also work with our brilliant collaborators Sam Dew, Sounwave, Lana Del Rey, Jahaan Sweet, Keanu Beats, William Bowery, and Zoe Kravitz. Laura Sisk was our excellent engineer. The wonderful and wise Beth Garrabrant took the album photographs. Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights. Which is out now

the moon can tell about our mothers but, also how they felt before giving birth to us/when pregnant and how they felt during the birthing process

ARIES MOON ♈︎

most likely worried about the pain of birth or the pain was actually really bad for her during birth. it could also just mean it was a quicker birth than average

TAURUS MOON ♉︎

a slow birth process typically. this usually indicates it wasn’t a bad birth though and everything went smoothly but it could also mean you were a bit stubborn coming out and your movements made it difficult for your mother

GEMINI MOON ♊︎

your mother probably wanted to be best friends with you and feared not having that bond. the birth may have been anxiety filling for your mom (more than normal)

CANCER MOON ♋︎

this can indicate your mom had lots of mood swings during her pregnancy. she may have been super emotional during the birth/after

LEO MOON ♌︎

this can indicate your mother being very excited to have you because of her love for children

VIRGO MOON ♍︎

the pregnancy might have been planned. the birthing process may have made your mom very anxious in some way (maybe from an issue with the nurse or something)

LIBRA MOON ♎︎

your mom wanted to give you all the love that she may not have gotten as a child and the birth may have been a more peaceful birth than normal or it may have had a lot of ups and downs

SCORPIO MOON ♏︎

your mother may have feared how much transformation having you would bring to her life. it can also indicate she got angry easily while pregnant

SAGITTARIUS MOON ♐︎

your mother may have had a lot more hospital visits than normal thinking you would come out over and over. the birth process may have required a lot more effort than usual

CAPRICORN MOON ♑︎

your mother may have given birth later than she was supposed to. she may have feared the whole process in general. the father may have not been present either

AQUARIUS MOON ♒︎

the birth may have been at an unexpected time earlier than the due date. your mother may have feared you having something wrong with you like a birth deformity for example

PISCES MOON ♓︎

during the birth your mother most likely was out of it due to meds (maybe more than usual) but this can indicate she dreamed of having children since she was a child

BONUS ☆

having your moon in the 8th house could indicate coming from a c-section since the 8th house represents surgery

(check your sidereal moon as well if the tropical moon isn’t right bc for me it was more accurate)
