What's the origin of your blog title?

It came from a VERY old OC, I've been using this username on almost everything for several years. It started with my Scratch account

UhMMMMMM I regularly trace shapes in the air. If you watch me closely you'll notice it's often the same shape multiple times. I have a reason this became a habit but I do not entirely feel comfortable sharing!!

Drawing!! Lots of drawing. I draw a lot. Also listening to music / podcasts, reading, writing, sometimes cooking, and sometimes playing video games and watching TV (I don't do those last two a lot, but I have been video gaming a lot more often lately because of my deltarune special interest)

I have a lot of these but I generally really like seafood, like sushi n stuff, I would also KILL for my mom's spam musubi; kraft boxed mac n cheese is also very good but it HAS TO BE FRESH!! Not nearly as good reheated.

Cats, no question!! And mustelids.

What were you like as a child:

REALLY WEIRD HAHA. Honestly I don't remember a ton of stuff about when I was younger but I do remember I used to be obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog, but not even the games themselves, like-- Me and my siblings created these really intricate roleplays with Sonic OCs and this went on for like a really long time but then my siblings started breaking the "rules" that I had set and I was really mad about that so I stopped doing it 😔 Another anecdote is that I used to be REALLY into werewolves, and I even invented a spell to become one that I hoped would actually work. And this was during the pandemic and I used to do stuff on google slides all the time, so I made this like. Google slide presentation about a werewolf pack that had information on how to do the spell and like pack ranks and all that stuff and I invited some people from school that I barely knew to this pack and we roleplayed as werewolves in the comments of the google slide

Probably language arts I guess? Idk I dont like school lmao

"She's so good! She barely makes a sound!" was something I heard a lot growing up. I was fiercely shy but liked that people found me funny so I leaned heavily on wanting to make people laugh. I enjoyed my own company and my imaginary friend was Basil of Baker Street.

English lit. I remember when it finally clicked and how much I enjoyed picking apart the themes and symbolism.

hey all my fellow krusie / suselle / krusielle shippers out there reptiles cannot generate their own body heat. susie is a reptile of some variety. that means 2 things during the winter or any kind of cold spell. susie has to wear a bajillion layers

and also susie gets to huddle up with kris and noelle.

Feel free not to answer this, but I am going to fight you aro/ace Berdly, because you dared me. The main characterizations we see are 1. Full of himself, 2. Hots for Noelle and thus thinks Noelle likes him back, which I personally interpret as kind of a toxic masculinity thing, to go along with his compulsive need to be the smartest one in the room. If I understand correctly, your argument relies on him not realizing that he's aro/ace, and essentially experiencing over the top comphet?

I obviously can't argue with that, because its kinda unfalsifiable, but I would like your reasoning on if/why you think that makes more sense than him just being straight and having some toxic masculinity to work through.

If its not a "makes more sense" thing but is rather an "is more resonant with you specifically" thing, idk, there's nothing to debate.

Yeah, it is pretty much him not realizing that he's aroace, but I feel like there's a little bit more to it than just that.

I imagine Berdly as someone who really feels the need to fit in and fill the role that he's taken up, meet expectations, etc. In real life, kids see people in relationships everywhere, and the Deltarune universe doesn't seem to be much of an exception; So Berdly probably perceives falling in love as something that's supposed to happen to someone his age. So he picked someone he liked, Noelle, and "decided" to have a crush on her because he thought he needed to have a crush on someone, if that makes sense?

And I think this is further supported by how quickly he switches from having a crush on Noelle to Susie-- I'm not saying that people can't have crushes that change really fast, but if you look at it through the lens of Berdly being aroace and just wanting a relationship because that's the norm, I feel like his rapid crush-switch makes sense as well.

I also see Berdly as someone who's definitely neurodivergent in some way, likely autistic (largely because this video pointed it out and I think it does make a lot of sense)-- And I think that his masking and need to fit in would also play a large role in this pretending-to-be-in-love thing, if that makes sense.

All this is to say, I personally see Berdly as aroace but this obviously isn't something that's objective, and within canon it could be seen as either way.

In the end, I think this is more of a "more resonant with me specifically" thing, like you said, and of course this is just my opinion, but I feel very strongly about it!!

Took the MBTI personality test which I haven't done in a VERY long time. I got INFP-T but. yeah no that's wrong. Pretty sure INFJ-T describes me more accurately, but other than that one letter it seemed to be pretty correct.
