A scene from Stalking Darkness by Lynn Flewelling that really got me. The second book was definitely my favorite of the nightrunner series, which I'll admit to having mixed feelings about, but I really do enjoy it when you can tell that the author is just obsessed with their ocs and putting them in Situations.

i was gonna say it's fun to go through old art and be like you know what that was pretty good, but i think it also inspires feelings of "could i even do that anymore." but clearly i was capable of coming up with these ideas and drawing them at some point so it can't be impossible.

two of these were fake editorial illustrations for articles i absolutely don't remember the topics of anymore, and the middle one is an illustration for a chapter from invisible cities. from 2016-17 I think.

Happy Secret Samol!!

My gift this year was for @aurochsent who provided such good prompts!!! It was a tough choice between them, but I've been looking for an excuse to relisten to the beginning of spring and especially to think about Samol and Fero again. A silly bonus drawing with sea-squirrel Fero, because man, love that scene of the two of them playing around in the tide pools.

Hieron more than anything else is so precious and important to me, listening to friends at the table genuinely charted a course for the rest of my life. And it all started with Hadrian killing that poor skeleton!!!!
