though if there was an universe where the project didn't fail and the winner did get to see their design become a real vocaloid, THIS ONE should've been the winner 100%
sometimes I look at some of the other entries from that one "everyone's vocaloid project" contest and think "man this design looks so cool, it should've won", but then I remember the project failed and the winning designs never actually became vocaloids

I saw a lot of people saying that the super pack versions of meiko and luka sound too much like miku, and I thought the same while listening to rukaku's demo (idk how to romanize the title), but when I listened to leisure (wotaku's demo) I thought they sounded more like themselves. still a bit different than what I'm used to, but really I think it all depends on who's using the vocals.
#rave.txt#I gotta say I'm not a big fan of how kaito sounds on both of the demos#then again I'm not the best one to talk about this because it really takes the right producer for me to like how he sounds#regardless of the voicebank version#also seeing people compare meiko to miku takes me back to when I first discovered vocaloid back in like 2013#and I swear that in every song with meiko in it there'd always be a comment about how she sounded too much like a low-pitched rin??#so I think she's just doomed to always be compared to another vocal

why do people even reupload songs from lesser known artists on spotify anyway (or any artist for that matter but I mostly see it happening to smaller ones), like aside from the obvious issue, assuming the reason for doing this is to be able to listen to the songs while being offline why can't y'all just download them normally???
