Sunflower season is coming and they are one of my favorite still life subjects. Sunflowers are like a honeycomb of flowery treasure. From a distance they create gorgeous fields popping with yellow. And close up they expose a beautifully intricate world filled with texture and brightness. This particular one was taken in a garden in Missouri. I hope your days are filled with them.

I lived a good portion of my life in Santa Monica... And it’s still one of my favorite cities in the world. The city is rich with the beauty of the beach, the most gorgeous November sunsets, and endless amounts of people traveling from all across the world to experience this Pacific Cost treasure.
