Copper & Aluminium Insulated Busbars
Product Features New designs of switchgear for voltages upto 36kV follow the principles of reducing size as much as possible. Insulated busbars provide maximum protection, particularly in confined spaces, against flashover and accidentally induced discharge. Choosing the right busbar insulation can be difficult. Many conventional insulating materials require heavy investment in tooling and do not meet manufacturers’ requirements for performance and reliability. To solve this problem, Raychem RPG has developed a series of heat-shrinkable tubings for use on both aluminium and copper insulated busbars of circular or rectangular cross-section. These busbar insulation tubings are currently used in switchgear cabinets throughout the world.
Flashover Protection  The insulation tubings provide excellent protection against flashover and accidental bridging, in indoors and outdoors applications. They are ideal for protection against bird and animal-induced outages. Non-Halogen Based Material Manufactured from a radiation crosslinked highly modified ethylene-propylene polymer, the insulation tubing will not drip or flow at elevated temperatures and offers exceptional insulation and long term reliability even at continuous high operating temperatures. The non-halogen material base greatly reduces noxious and corrosive effects in a fire situation. High Voltage Performance A proprietary additive technology gives the insulation tubing outstanding resistance to both corona attack and the surface tracking which can occur in an aggressive HV environment. Thermal Rating Busbars covered with insulation tubings dissipate heat better than bare copper or aluminium busbars, therefore no reduction in current rating is necessary. Continuous operating temperature upto 105 Deg.C

Dry Type Transformer with phase-shifted secondaries provides 18-pulse or better input harmonic cancellation with a power factor above 0.95 under any operating conditions. This eliminates the need for input harmonic filters or power factor compensation, while completely avoiding any common-mode voltages from being imposed on the motor. Overview: Raychem RPG makes residential gas meters (Mechanical standard version) that are designed according to the European Standard EN1359 to measure the consumption of gas in households and at other consumers, where the maximum consumption of all gas appliances does not exceed 2.5 m3/h in case of gas meter G1.6 of the air of density 1.2 kg/ml.
