i’ve seen a bunch of people freaking out about GO finally getting renewed now that the strike is over and like. I’m not worried. Because even if by some insane turn of events, Amazon cancels it, that season 3 script exists. Neil has talked about writing it. It’s there somewhere. And if GO gets cancelled with the ending it had, I just know, deep in my heart of hearts, that Michael Sheen will get that script. He will sell his soul to the devil himself to get it if he must. And he will film season 3 in his basement on his iphone camera if he has to. He’ll play every character. He’ll make costumes. Build sets. Anything he has to do to fix episode 6.

I have this theory that Aziraphale has always wanted to be more affectionate/physical with Crowley but hasn't because of them being "hereditary enemies" and has simply waited for Crowley to use his 'bad demon cred™' to make a move for him so he doesn't have to (the way Crowley used Laudanum as an excuse to do something good) and gets very very annoyed every single time Crowley doesn't take the hint.
Tumblr media
He was finally getting his moment here but no, they were interrupted. (the way his gaze lingers shut uppppp)
Tumblr media
You can't tell me he wasn't absolutely annoyed here.
And the thing is, if Crowley has ever picked up on it, he definitely didn't/wouldn't act on it because hes absolutely terrified of scaring Aziraphale away.
"You go too fast for me, Crowley" absolutely altered Crowley's brain chemistry and not for the better.

>>> Risk ineffable husbands, 7 pages
here's a little comic, it's not completely show!gomens compliant but its headcanons i enjoy
comic notes under cut :)
I enjoy Az already realising he likes Crowley by the time Adam appears but hasn't yet worked out what to do with that information bc acts-of-service Crowley Can't Talk, Wont Talk.
Crowley on the other hand has been VERY GOOD at ignoring why he spends so much of his time around Az so only on the crux of YOU'RE GOING TO LOOSE HIM did anything manage to force its way through to his brain. (i did not enjoy crowley being told he was in love with az in s2, i think he could have worked it out himself)
i rly enjoy hcs where they started sleeping together and with humans for fun (i mean the ox ribs scene sets some v good precedent for this) az sleeps with humans bc he indulges! he likes pleasure! crowely on the other hand is very bad at catching feelings and doesnt like it when they die so has mostly only slept with az (did i mention he's VERY good at ignoring his feelings) but they probably haven't slept together for a few hundred years when adam pops up.
my compliant show!hcs are still that az knows he loves crowley (i mean the scene with jim where he leaps out of the chair to attempt to protect crowley saying no he defo doesnt know ANYONE who he feels that way with, don't look closely at anyone he is with) and is just sort of sitting on it still, waiting for any hint from crowley, planning a ball definitely only for humans and no other reason. Crowley is obviously very protective of Az but he still hasn't clicked why he's worried about him but he doesn't have the excuse of heaven or hell anymore so it wouldn't have taken much for him to work it out (hello one of his first lines in s2 is "you ever think, what's the point?" the point is love you idiot)
(book!gomens is just they're already married and have been fucking for centuries but the book just doesnt mention that.)

I'm a firm believer that Aziracrow will make up, HOWEVER I think Aziraphale will NEVER hear the end of it.
*500 years later: Aziraphale doing something accidentally* "Oops, sorry"
*Crowley, mockingly* "I fOrGiVe yOu"
*Sigh* "Crowley, I said I was sorry! Will you let it go, please?"
*Crowley, dramatically falling back on his chair, still doing the mocking voice* "cOmE wItH mE tO hEaVeN"

#gaslighting the fandom
Hello Neil! First of all, I loved s2 and felt the ending was perfect.
It was brought to my attention that somewhere between ep4 and ep6 the Bentley changed slightly. The bullet holes are missing and the brown leather seats are black when Crowley drives away at the end. Was this intentional or a continuity error?
P.S. My good omens book arrived today and I am over the moon.
Thank you in advance and good luck in the strike!!!
It's the same Bentley, with the same bullet-hole transfers on the windows. Same seats as you've seen before...

The Crow Road and Muriel in Season Three?
The Crow Road by Iain Banks is featured in season 2 several times. It’s part of Jim’s reorganization, we actually see the first page. Later Crowley gives it to Muriel, and we see Muriel reading it when she talks to the Metatron.
It’s about Prentice, whose uncle has disappeared, and how he uses the papers his uncle left behind to solve the mystery of his disappearance. People have suggested that this means that in S3 we will be looking for God, who seems to be missing in the present of S2.
Muriel is reading the book. Muriel has already helped them solve the mystery of what happened to Jim using her access to heavenly records. The Metatron has called her the ‘dim’ one, and has gone out of his way to make sure that she does not return to heaven. He knows the knowledge she possesses of heavenly records is valuable. Leaving her in charge of the bookshop wasn’t an afterthought, and calling her dim was a shrewdly chosen tactic to, hopefully, cause others to dismiss her.
I think Muriel is going to play a key part in finding out what has happened to God in S3.
Can I get a Wahoo for archivists and librarians?
An aside about trying to get the book:
I haven’t read The Crow Road yet, because it was virtually impossible to buy. I started trying the first week in August and have only just received a copy now, after having 3 orders get cancelled. The edition that is in the series is now listed on eBay for $50 and up. Barnes & Noble told me the book was out of print. We probably have at least 2 1/2 years before S3 comes out, I expect a lot of fans will be interested in reading it.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY could we please get an ebook of it? Iain Banks’ estate is leaving money on the table. I think if they did a kickstarter they could at least raise enough money for an ebook, (speaking out of my arse here), unless there are weird rights issues. (Maybe there is an ebook already, just not available in the states?) I found a pdf online before I found a different edition on eBay, but I’d much prefer to support the author’s estate if there were a legitimate way to do that.
ETA Apparently there is an ebook available, but Am*zon isn’t selling it in the states. I don’t know if I can buy it at .co.uk, or if I did if I could read it on my kindle. Has anybody tried this?
