this is probably random, but do you have advice for someone to move on from fake friends in the rp world? like, they're always going on about themselves, then immediately leaving when you need someone, and only coming back to talk about themselves even more. (or to ask about rp stuff, esp to write a ship with them, then lose interest in you when you say you're busy?) idk, i just feel shitty when i realized i have a few rp friends like that.

that is really shitty ! tbh the good thing about online friends is that like… even though it sucks, it’s pretty easy to avoid having to talk to or see them. unfortunately a lot of the people in the rpc are kinda fake / bad friends, so it’s easy to end up in this situation. if they’re only around when it’s convenient for them and only care to talk to you when it’s in their interest, i would just stop responding to them. eventually they’ll get the picture and maybe even realize they’re being assholes too. cutting friends out of your life is hard but ultimately your personal well being is a lot more important and honestly you can focus on your actual real good friends a lot more when you no longer have to divide your attention between them and your shitty toxic friends. also i just wanna emphasize that it is not selfish to want to have people in your life that care about you and the things you have to say and to not want to have to deal with people who don’t. it’s basically a fundamental human right. you deserve to have friendships like karlie and taylor’s and not taylor and katy perry circa 2012 ok

Please, never smoke. Never even start smoking, if you are lucky enough to possess a pair of untouched, perfectly pink lungs.

It plagues you. When you’re a smoker, being outside isn’t enjoying nature; it’s an opportunity to smoke. Driving isn’t an escape; it’s getting in your car and always traveling to the same destination: reaching for your pack. It’s a social crutch and a motivational handicap.

And once you quit, it doesn’t go away. I’ve been almost completely smoke free for five years now, one year longer than I was a smoker, and I still crave a cigarette. Every day, I still crave a cigarette.

You only look cool smoking in your early 20s. After that, everyone judges you for not quitting once you graduated college. I’m serious, don’t romanticize this harmful habit; it’s unhealthy, and dangerous, and easy to avoid.

PSA: Before joining statisticsrp, I would like to refer you to this post on my character blog, in which the admins of the rp repeatedly disrespect us members, including calling us ‘trashy’ and even going as far as to say they hated someone in the rp, who I believe was helping them admin. At this point, every member of this rp is completely upset and heartbroken, as we’ve all grown to be quite a close knit group. Getting on to suddenly hear that the rp we’ve put so much time and effort into is now ‘revamping’ for what sounds like a bunch of excuses is angering to say the least. Honestly, I wish the admins of the rp the best.. but as someone who was there from the beginning and made loads of connections both ooc and ic,…I just urge you not to apply so this shit doesn’t happen to you.
