If you want to love me

I must warn you, I’m difficult. There will be days where I don’t feel like talking and days where I need constant affirmation. I will need down time and time to recharge.  I need to know how you feel about me and where I stand.  There will be days where I can’t look in the mirror and I won’t believe any compliment you tell me.  I will have trust issues at first, that are not a dig at you, but a dig at my past. I need you to tell me to trust you and mean it.  I will need you to listen. I will need you.  On the other side, I will open myself up to you, tear down every brick from the walls that I built. I will tell you secrets and expect you to keep them safe.  I will spend my days wondering how to make yours better.  I will listen carefully to your struggles and your stories.  I will love you harder than anyone ever has.  I will give you pieces of me I reserved.  If you want to love me and then you walk away - How dare you? I warned you, I’m difficult.
