i seriously think the aziraphale and crowley kiss can be used as a great example of how not to write kisses. when i'm going to be writing the nrmt casefic i will just play that scene over and over and write everything in the directly opposite way. it's going to have so much enthusiastic consent and passion and movement. the only good thing was sheen's expressions and how much was in them but then again he carried this fucking season

okay good omens season two spoilers ahead. be fucking ware

michael sheen carried this entire season. it's very clear to me that he went over the top with what was given and it's very clear to me that he both understood the character and added something to him which was just. chef's kiss. excellent work michael, your acting almost made me genuinely like the whole season

almost being the key word, i fucking hated the writing? and the plot? everything about this to me felt extremely rushed and pushed and not how it should have been. i kind of mourn what the relationships could have been written as, you know? gabriel and beelzebub could be a great pair used to explore even greater ideas - instead it felt like when a fanfic writer is left with two single characters in the background that they need to push together for the amatonormative blissful ending. and i know this wasn't the case here, but i'm more voicing my feelings than some kind of carefully thought out opinion. the kiss barely had any passion - it had emotion, but nothing of the "i have wanted him for 6000 years" kind. just. eh. the coconuts collided, i guess. i'm ignoring the s2 plot completely, to be honest. s1, in my opinion, ended on a great note of hope, mutual understanding and love, and. just. eh. michael sheen was fucking great, though, the little twirls and giggles and smiles? genius. if this was a fic on ao3, i would have bookmarked it after some hesitation and only for the good flashbacks bits.
