Technically, the first musicals I saw were disney movies. I'm sure that doesn't really count though.
In elementary school, the first musicals I was exposed to were Phantom of the Opera and Carmen. I really got into the phantom, and as my sweet 16 birthday present, my father took me to the theater to see it live. It was magical. I have managed to see at least 3 other musicals live. I wish I could do it more.

I am delighted with what Rory Kinnear is doing as Tom Bombadil on The Rings of Power. I am delighted that some of his dialogue was lifted almost verbatim from the Lord of the Rings. I am delighted that it seems like the Stranger (Gandalf probably) was meant to look for him. I am delighted that we got a version of his song over the end credits. I am delighted that we even got a little bit of Goldberry. I am delighted.

boycotts deprive the target of money.
not voting does not deprive the government of money.
it does, however, deprive you of power.
it's not like a boycott.
