If you have VoMor extensions in your hair here are a few tips to keep them maintained:

Blow-dry the bonds of VoMor every time the hair is wet

Use only Color Conserve Shampoo on the bonds of VoMor

Utilize protective styles, like a low pony, braid or top knot to prevent damage to natural hair

Take extra caution while detangling VoMor that may have large amounts of new growth

If you are still able, please see your stylist to preemptively move up or remove your VoMor hair

She was asked, What is the best advice you would give someone about keeping their hair healthy?

Make sure that you are conditioning your hair enough. That’s typically the issue, people are sometimes scared of using masks because they think they’re too heavy, but they are so valuable. You can ask your stylist which one would be best for you, but the key to keeping your hair healthy is definitely using conditioner.

What are you doing this Labor Day Weekend?

My husband and I took a hike to Crockett Gardens today from Cedar Breaks Park in Georgetown. Over the years I have visited this beautiful, tranquil spot by boat but we decided on a “Fall” hike as the weather had dipped below 100 deg!

It takes about 2 1/2 miles to walk to the spring thru the woody areas by the park and up to the cliffs next to the lake where the views are breathtaking!

  I love gardening and seeing the vegetation change when we got up to the cliffs definitely caught my eye, this plant in particular with its bright purple berries reminded me of some of the Fall hair colors we have been creating in the Salon the last few weeks.

When we reached the Spring there were a few long horn’s grazing in a field and we saw the remains of what was a farming operation. We also read on a Historic marker that Crockett Gardens was the first place to grow strawberries in Williamson County.

Here are a few pictures of the spring, if the Lake is at a high level the water comes right up to it, but not right now. We met some people that had come up in canoes and they said it was muddy and they had to hike quite a way to see the Spring!

  It was beautiful, of course we had to hike the 2 1/2 miles back and so glad we packed lunch and lots of water.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a little bit of Georgetown’s beauty with everyone and hope everyone is having fun and getting to relax this Holiday weekend!
