"yeah,  well,  considering  i  can't  pull  the  lucifer  card  cause  of  dela.. despite me constantly dying and facing him everytime.."  davina  looked  at  the  other,  "you  still  have  a  lot  of  fight  and  love  in  you.  i'm  nearly  empty.  so  if  that  doesn't  scare  you,  well,  good  luck."

"no.  they're  not  going  to  get  away  with  it."  davina  shook  her  head.  the  witch  immediately  walking  over  to  grab  her  bag,  pulling  out  a  map  and  a  few  items  for  her  tracking  spell.  "we're  going  to  find  him  and  we're  going  to  get  whoever  took  him.  if  it's  lucifer..  well..  he's  going  to  have  get  through  me  first."

⸻ "demons. they -- they were mumbling about lucifer and then everything went black," delaney explained to her twin, green eyes frantically looking around them. which way did they even start? she couldn't even sense her brother around anymore, which did not leave a good feeling in the pit of her stomach. "what if . . . what if he finally got jack? i'm -- i would be next, dav."

"you  would  be  on  edge  if  you  were  in  my  shoes.  especially  when  katherine  pierce  is  in  front  of  me  out  of  nowhere."  davina's  hands  out  in  defense,  just  in  case  she  needed  to  use  magic.

"Is that supposed to impress me? I'm not trying to scare you. -- Are you always so on edge?"

"why  shouldn't  i  be  mad?  you  were  hiding  this  from  me  and  nearly  got  yourself  killed!"  davina  lectured  her  twin  with  a  frustrated  huff.  pacing  back  and  forth  in  the  motel  as  she  tried  to  muster  up  anything  she  could  that  could  help  them  finish  this  hunt.  "i  can  take  it  from  here.  you  need  to  reset."

"don't be mad."

"what-  you're...  you-"  davina  was  once  again  sent  into  shock  when  he  told  her  to  kiss  her.  almost  wanting  to  turn  around  and  walk  away.  but  her  body  wouldn't  let  her.  despite  their  constant  banters,  there  was  always  something  there.  possibly,  davina  used  the  arguments  to  hide  behind  what  was  actually  going  on.  looking  at  him  for  a  moment  as  he  stood  close,  she  just  shook  her  head,  "fuck  it."

almost  immediately  she  got  on  her  tiptoes,  wrapped  her  arms  around  his  neck,  tugging  him  down,  and  crashing  her  lips  onto  his  for  the  first  time. 

he wasn't used to actually being into someone. he preferred the one night stands and the constant hook ups. because anyone he ever actually dated, he didn't like them enough not to stray. but with davina, things were different. he didn't exactly like her at all at first. there was no interest there. but the second she stepped foot in front of him, and risked her own life for his, something changed. and not just because she decided to play hero. but because no one ever cared enough about him to protect him before. his own mom let his dad lay a hand on him. even his sister jumped ship instead of saving him. so despite how she acted towards him, maybe there was something there.
