Les Misérables 1982 is an awesome movie adaptation. It went out in 1985 in a longer version with more scenes, and the French actors dubbed their own characters for most of them in an English dubbed version. I have made subtitles for French version (translation to English)
I really love the actors, their interpretation and how close to the book the movies are. It's my favorite version of les Amis so far. Also Lino Ventura's voice is so perfect... He's such a good father I swear!
The barricade attacks are very well directed imop, they put a lot of money into it and I will always like old effects rather than modern CGI. Man, I felt I was in the scene with them, gave me shivers!!
I don't know if the content will be striked one day so enjoy it while you can and Carpe Miserabilem!

Victor Hugo writing Les Miserables is
"[insert name here], who isn't even a character we are following in this story but rather a character who a more important character will interact with in passing, sat next to a tree. Now, reader, I understand that you might be curious about the entire history of this specific tree and how one of its apples was once bitten into by a man who spoke to Napoleon three times in his life before being shot to death by an obscure historical figure I will namedrop exactly once. It is my obligation and honor as narrator to tell you exactly that history, and all of this will culminate in me making a throwaway remark about modern townspeople that feels like the world's cruelest punchline."
And every single time I'm like hell fucking yes tell me the history of this tree!!!!!!! L

At least 12 cast members of the US touring company of Les Mis are choosing not to perform on June 11th, when 🍊💩 will be attending for a fundraiser.
Important: even if you know the names of any of these actors, please DON’T name them or even speculate “I bet it’s xxxx”.
Richard Grenell, the 🍊💩- installed Executive Director of the Kennedy Center, has said “In fact, we think it would be important to out those vapid and intolerant artists to ensure producers know who they shouldn’t hire - and that the public knows which shows have political litmus tests to sit in the audience.”
Don’t let these artists be targeted for harassment. Please, in solidarity, keep their names out of this.
