I really love Shoma too, as a character he's just a ball of sunshine. But I think what I'm more impressed by the actor than anything. I just can't help but imagine most actors being embarrassed to have to portray a character so "cringe" like this. But tongue is firmly OUT of cheek here, he throws himself into the role with so much earnest sincerity. And of course the editing of the cutaway to the snack revelation is really well done, but it really depends on the actor to do most of the heavy lifting of selling these moments.

I'm just very admiring of it.
