then is jongler/cowboy mike 1 - regular zapper outfit (pre-mike and mike era), with "he/him," "memory AND hearing issues," and "doesn't like being a bouncer" written around him. he has his hands behind his back, and is kind of hunched unhappily 2 - mike costume (mike era), with "they/them" and "costume is stiff and itchy but they keep forgetting to mention it" written around them. they're standing more confidently. 3 - an altered outfit (post-mike era) with the general zapper outfit but the hat, boots, and gloves kept from the mike costume, and they replaced the bow tie with a bandana. they are standing happily and holding up their fists. around them is written "they/them" and "loves being a cowboy." there is also an arrow from the mike costume pointing to this outfit labeled "ditches the uncomfy parts of the costume"

What could've possibly happened in deltarune to have sans LITERALLY travel across universes?????

I have actually stared at a wall deep into the night thinking about this. Considering. Calculating.

And so far I have come to one very vague conclusion (I am NOT deep enough in the Deltarune secrets and tidbits to actually come up with theories for this kinda stuff so forgive if this doesn't make sense)

We clearly know that Gaster is fucking around and finding out at this very second. We know that he basically controls the game, wrote the prophecy, all that fun stuff. We also know that he has "access" to reality, considering he's literally made posts on X (or was it Bluesky?? Not sure it was one of the two)

MY theory is that he's going to break the game/break the reality that Deltarune is taking place in. He's going to mess with the code and time so much that he literally breaks everything.

Now remember that weird machine in Sans' workshop? My guess is that he probably got inside it with Papyrus or activated it or SOMETHING and that's what allowed him to "escape" the crashing reality. Maybe it helped him cross over into the new Universe; Undertale.

I do not, however, think we'll get to see it. We, the player, are with Kris. We will be seeing the destruction of Deltarune's reality first-hand, while Sans & Papyrus will be somewhere else escaping. I think this because... Well, so far, the game is heavily focused on the new main cast. Other characters from Undertale are clearly important, yes, but their roles in the plot take place in the background so much so that the fandom literally has to sync brains and piece things together as a group to figure out just what the hell is going on with certain characters. Yes, Toby gives us all of the puzzle pieces, but we are the ones that have to connect them.

The only thing that I could think of that would change that is if we, the player/soul, get separated from Kris and have to go do our own stuff for a while.

He will give hints and implications about Sans and Papyrus' escape, as he already has, but it will be out of sight. It will probably take a few months to figure out what happened behind the scenes after the future chapters release. Similarly, the fandom had to piece together Rudy and Asgore's relationship in Undertale ourselves.

I also don't know if we'll ever get straight up confirmation that Gaster is related to the skelebros. YES, I think there will be HEAVY implications that it's canon (considering Toby is a smart cookie, knows what his audience wants, and has clearly planned to involve Sans & Papyrus with the mystery man beforehand), but I don't know if we'll outright see it. Once again, that might be something that we'll have to figure out ourselves.

I do not, however, think there will be a Sans fight.

I also want there to be one. In fact, I think the perfect secret boss for Ralsei would straight up be Sans.... HOWEVER, this is highly unlikely to happen. Let's be real. Sans is not only someone who has already made a point of not fighting under any circumstances unless it's literally the only thing left to do, but like... Toby is clearly trying to do something with Asgore. Not only that, but he's also trying to come up with a new and interesting cast for Deltarune, thus the Spamton and Gerson fights. He's not focusing on the Undertale cast anymore... not like that.

And rounding back to my first point, yes, Sans will most likely fall into a dark world along with Papyrus and Alphys and Asgore, just like Toriel & Undyne did. But he's also probably going to be the most useless party member on the face of the planet. That man literally doesn't show a SINGLE attack in Undertale unless you literally kill everyone. Everyone. Assuming that he'd fight just on a random wacky Tuesday is.... well. Unlikely.

As for Papyrus?

For real though I'm like... Genuinely stumped here. I've seen a few things that could be possible.

There's the Ice-e mascot guy or whatever the fuck he's called and someone made a wonderfully rounded out post explaining that they think he is Papyrus. I personally think it's more likely that he'll show up with Asriel, though. Sans has dropped a couple hints about Papyrus being in college AND confirmation that he'll most likely show up with Asriel, and we know that Asriel is also in college, so. That's probably why we haven't seen him. Because... He's suffering in prison essentially 🥀

Judging by Toby's handwriting in the post I reblogged earlier today, I would say that Gaster is either:

A) skelebros' father/parental figure/guardian

B) Sans' coworker/associate/friend

C) skelebros' third brother (secret evil option)

D) the censored word was not in fact gaster but instead was grandpa semi (sad and disappointing option)

My new AU concept: Caine’s “Getting Humbled” Arc

The gist is “Caine gets demoted from his Ringmaster position, and a barely sane chess piece and a fake-nice ragdoll are the only people that will willingly interact with him.”

Theres lots of stories and concepts I have in mind, but idk how or even if I wanna tell them in a cool narrative way, or just info dump- but I found the motivation to draw out the first 2 pages of the first chapter so thats cool! the chapter is called “New Normal”

People are so used to talking like Caine’s not even there because he never really listens even when they are directly talking to him- exhibit A: The end of ep 5, so thats what they still do. Except NOW he’s actually listening because he has nothing else to focus on now that he’s not running the circus.

Caine is just very….idk how to describe him in this, he’s just very empty because he feels as if his entire lifes purpose has been taken away which I mean is sorta true.

OH YEAH and one thing I will say specifically about characters dynamics here is that Ragatha and Caine have a very funny rivalry and its my favorite part of the entire thing, they do not like each other meanwhile Kinger is the mediator that mediates only 13% of the time when he’s not getting distracted
