Fun mmo FPS(Wildlands)
Ghost Recon Wildlands is an all out massacre of a game. Jumping into it is no easy task as it can be confusing at first. But with a good squad behind you and enough patience, the game is definitely worth your time. I jumped into the game with two of my good friends and it was a mess. The game its self has really weird and not so realistic vehicle physics as well as a not so great skill system. It took us only about fifty hours to beat the entire game and although it wasn’t the most realistic or in depth game, it was worth the time. The skill system uses skill tree’s like most games but the skill tree’s in Wildlands aren’t very in depth. For instance if you’re going to upgrade your physical abilities, you’re limited to things like less scope sway and abilities that allow you to run further. As far as weapons go, there is a looting aspect. You can find new guns around the map or pick up weapons from fallen enemies but for the most part after you’ve found every gun in the game it’s purely cosmetic. There is no insanely crazy fun unique weapon in the game to strive for but there is definitely some cool weapons skins to try and obtain. When it comes to missions in Wildlands it is a very different system. You have to do many side missions that can get really repetitive in order to fish out some tough militia leaders that’re the big guys in charge. Militia leaders are like the bosses of Wildlands. You have to kill all the smaller Militia leaders in order to get to the big guy in charge and the way you fish out these leaders is through many many missions that’re all normally the same thing. Rescue people, blow something up, or steal some supplies. The combat of the game is actually really nice, it’s one of the very few games with realistic weapon physics. If you shoot an enemy in the head its almost always a one shot kill, if you shoot them in the foot it’s always going to do a tad bit of damage. This mechanic applies both ways so if you get shot in the same manner then you’re done for. This combat system is also one of the saving graces of the game as the game probably wouldn’t do so well without the key aspects that keep it alive to this day. The game would be a complete bust if it weren’t for the massive sandbox like world with the constant pressure of something going wrong. Before a mission you always have to come up with a solid plan of action so the mission will go right. Although you will always have a plan, it only goes right about five percent of the time while playing Wildlands. This sandbox gameplay and the hilarious improvisation when a mission doesn’t go right is what made me and my friends keep going back for more. The game was really fun and I highly recommend it.

Ring of Elysium
As most steam users will do, they underestimate how fun a "free" game can be.
When I first saw Ring of Elysium, I thought the name was cheesy, and the addition of snow sports and ziplines and paragliding in a battle royale game was nonsense. How could something so ridiculous be incorporated into a game like this?
And then a couple of my friends started playing it, and had recommended it to me. I thought, "you know what, let's give it a shot"
I load up the game, immediately the main menu music caught my attention. Although it is quite common for games to have a great menu screen, i was completely caught off guard because of the free game. I jump into a match and realise that this game is quite fun! It is unlike most battle royales you may or may not have played. Instead of jumping out of a plane or bus, you start somewhere on the map by picking your location during the preparation phase. The combat is rewarding and satisfying, with the hitmarkers being the cream on top. Ziplines, snowboarding and paragliding add major parts into your experience, changing the way you strategize your exploration as you make your way closer into the zone, fleeing from the severe snow storm Ymir. The addition of being able to equip two scopes is really helpful as well, allowing for both close quarters combat and long range snipes with opposing players.
To win, you must survive till the final zone, and must wait for an evacuation helicopter to help you escape Ymir. The helicopter can take up to 4 players, and once you're inside, you've secured the victory, whether for yourself, or your squadmates. Not all party members need to make it up to the helicopter and it will stay there until either the helicopter is full or everyone is dead. Players will duel it out in the final zone to make it into the helicopter but they will need to be swift, as the storm will become increasingly more cold, dealing more and more damage as time goes on.
I came to this game from fortnite because my friends wanted to try out a new game and we were not disappointed at all. We loaded it up and because it’s free we got our whole clan to join in and it was honestly a blast. One of the best free games on the steam market by far and for sure not one of those games that will ever get old. All in all it has some really good mechanics and the mobility always makes you want to go back for another round even if its just to mess around a bit with friends. It isn't a super hard game to play and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes fps games regardless of it being paid or not because honestly it could make lots of money if it cost anything.
If you're a fan of PUBG, but want a more freedom in your mobility and a change in playstyle with a smaller and much different environment while still maintaining that 'battle royale' feel, Ring of Elysium is definitely a game to try out.

CIV 6
Civ VI is a wonderful game. it took the worst aspects of Civ V and took them to the next level, such as with districts and base yields. Despite its shortcomings, such as the infamously hated AI, the boring lategame, and civ balance, Civ Vi was able to live up to become one of my favorite strategy based games of all time.
The Cons:
- The AI: Everyone likes to complain about this, but they need to understand that programming an AI can be tough, especially in a heavily strategy based game like Civ. In my opinion, the AI is somewhat able to play to a degree where a player can engage with them, but there still can be improvement in areas such as production focus and trade deals.
- Civ balance: Personally this isn't too much of an issue for me, since most civs are in the "meh" level, but civs like Sumer or Georgia really need tweaks.
- The Lategame: This is the biggest issue for me. After snowballing and killing off some civs in the early and midgame, the lategame is notoriously tedious and boring. Science victories are a snorefest, and most of the time you just sit around and activate district projects while fortifying your units so you don't have to select them every turn. The AI never declares war after turn 180 or so, and lategame weapons are rarely even used (like seriously who even gets stealth bombers and sams).
The Pros:
- The Early-Mid Game: This phase of the game is so much fun. Most civs' UUs start popping off in this era, and you can start sending hordes of roman legions or sumerian war carts all over the continent. Wonders actually matter, and it can be a real challenge to defend against closeby civs (especially on diety, where the AI rushes you with a million warriors on turn 5)
- The Music: Holy damn the music for this game is good. Civ is one of the few games where I actually turn up the music to max volume with speakers without shame, cause jesus christ its so wonderful. The evolution of the music over the eras make the music even more unique, with each era bringing in a new aspect to the civilization (8-bit music theory did a good explanation on this, so go check it out).
- Aesthetic appeal: In civ V, I sometimes found myself switching to strategic view, because the artstyle and the graphics confused my eyes to the point where it actually hurt my them at some points in the lategame. In civ Vi however, I can clearly see where my units are and can plan my attacks without experiencing actual pain.
All in all I think Civ Vi is an amazing game with some major improvements from its last game civ V. Although the late game can be a drag, it’s always still satisfying to conquer the world by yourself or even with a friend. I can’t stress enough how much I love this game and it’s definitely worth getting if you’re looking for a turn based strategy.

Well, let's talk about Brawlhalla for a sec, shall we? At first glance it would seem as though it's a PC game going for the style of Smash Bros. On the 10th or so glance, it seems as though it's a PC game going for the style of Smash Bros. But with a few twists that keep it mostly seperate. First of all is the weapon system. I personally LOVE this mechanic. You start off with your weak melee attacks until you pick up a weapon, displayed on-screen as a generic sprite. When that happens, you get a non-generic weapon. Each character has a combination of two weapons that they can recieve. There's guns, spears, hammers, 1 sword, 2 swords, and a rocket lance. That's right, a rocket lance. Though each weapon is not exclusive to their characters, each character has 2 exclusive moves (1 per weapon) that they can use. Each weapon is VERY nicely balanced, and I'll talk more about that later. There are also items you can pick up, though variety is sparce. There are spiky balls called Mace-Balls, which you throw at enemies. There are land mines, which you can either throw at your opponent(s) or at the walls and floors. Finally, there are plain ol' bombs that will make you stare in disbelief as you fly off into your doom after someone throws one at you. Online play. I'm a little... eh about the quality of the online play at the moment. On one hand, it's incredible to wreck people online and tell them "gg" before having all of them ragequit, but there is a lot of lag sometimes. On one hand, some matches can be as smooth as offline play, on the other hand some can involve unforseen game mehanics such as teleportation and death by "I swear that guy was on the other side of the map .01 seconds ago". Despite this, the developers have stated repeatedly they are constantly working on improving online play. They have had multiple lag fix patches already and more are to come. So, that'll make the game even better. Offline play is so fun. There's a tournament mode where you play against CPUs to be the ultimate champion. The CPUs are pretty easy themselves, but the challenge lies in not getting killed while gathering many kills to get a high score. There is a star rating out of 5 you get at the end, with 5 being pretty difficult to acheive (SPOILER: There's a practically impossible rating to get that's above 5 stars... No more hints as to what it is) Also, there's local play where you can play with up to four people using controllers, and one person can use the keyboard or keyboard-mouse. No LAN unfortunately. The last thing is training mode. I won't go too much into detail with this, but imagine Smash Bros' training mode + damage per hit shown, visible hitboxes, and hitstun visibility. The balance. Outstanding. Though this could also be a statement as to the lack of variety, you could almost press random in a tournament match and come out the victor with anyone you got. Of course, it's not perfect. But unlike some other games, which have tier lists from SS all the way down to F or even G, Brawlhalla's tier list is more like an SS to A. Wait, did I say "tournament match"? Yes, Brawlhalla has a competitive community that even now, in closed beta, is over 100 erm, times have changed. Make that 50,000+ strong. This is when the game isn't publicly available, and there's over 100 50,000+ people participating in competitive play. Think about that for a moment. Sure the game has been given away in many places already, but still. As I write this even, I am procrastinating much needed sleep for a Brawlhalla tournament tommorow. PROS:-Great brawler in the style of Smash Bros -Good offline mode -Has an online mode -Near impeccable balance -Growing competitive community CONS:-Online mode can be VERY laggy at times -I can't beat Raidhyn -No LAN play -A little empty (Probably just a closed beta problem) -Many characters are kind of similar Not sure if PRO or CON:-Very limited variety on items -Similar enough to Smash Bros to almost be called a ripoff. Not quite though. OVERALL VERDICT:9/10 game, for being in beta. If this was the finished product, I'd give it an 7.5 or 8/10. Very much reccomend this, as it's free to play. I've gotten REALLY into it.

The Black Watchmen
In The Black Watchmen, you’re a spy for a global clandestine organization with the objective of protecting the public from mysterious and ominous crimes that occur throughout the world. The organization is tasked with solving very weird and mysterious cases that take place in a real world like scenario with many many mysteries and secrets hidden within each individual case. Your job is to literally solve cases involving cults, rituals, and very serious crimes that are all explained to you within the game. When solving a case you follow leads and clues to find the answer and save the public from things that the ordinary cia and police wouldn’t have ever even known to investigate.
The game is divided into multiple seasons, season one and season two. In each season there is different content and brings new challenges. There are also many dlc’s for the game that give you new puzzles and missions to solve. The game overall is very mysterious and the dlc’s bring so much more to the table.
In the first season you gain skills and they are seriously put to the test. You are a rookie recruit being tested by the agency to determine your ability to succeed as a Watchmen. You train in decoding, hacking, audio/image and manipulation, while obtaining your investigative skills. In the second season known as Enduring Conflict, you are a veteran agent and can apply your skills to the mission called the “Abyss Incident”. In second season you battle rival groups. In this season it also brings players more opportunities for live interaction.
The reason I love this game so much is the way it is played, the game goes through extensive trouble to create a play type like no other in any other way shape or form. When you play this game for the first time it will seem very weird at first, the game has you researching events in real life and it has you take notes while watching briefing videos or other videos during a case. You use all your acquired skills to find evidence for whatever case you may be working on and this evidence might be found in many ways for instance phone calls, pictures, documents, online research, etc. You are given copies of files that you download on your computer and view pictures of crime scenes that you have to study and find secrets or clues within to solve cases. You also find codes and need to decode things you find in hexadecimal or binary or Rot13 or the ceasar cipher. The game has an intense spine chilling depth to it that will intertwine reality to the game that you’re playing.
The game teaches you to recognize different codes and ciphers and apply them to your scenario as quickly and efficiently as possible, you gain skills, and the game is a very fun mystery game. I personally love it and it’s pretty cheap on the steam market right now for 10 dollars. Overall I’d highly recommend this game and if you ever get the opportunity I suggest playing it.

Top Chrome Extensions
AdGuard:
AdGuard is a great program for keeping pesky ads out of absolutely everything you do on your computer, whether it be an article you’ve decided to read or a YouTube video you’re going to watch, AdGuard will keep every ad out of your website always. AdGuard is highly efficient in blocking ads, so much so that I haven’t seen one in the past week I’ve been using it. It’s very relieving to be able to watch YouTube videos or articles. AdGuard also actually tracks how many ads you’ve blocked since the day you’ve downloaded it, only a week in and I have already blocked over a thousand five hundred ads. Another nice addition to AdGuard is the ability to turn off your blocker for specific websites, say you want to be able to support a specific content creator or a specific website/blog you can.
Honey:
Honey is probably one of the best extensions on this list. Honey allows you to get instant access to thousands on thousands of promotional codes instantly through the press of a button in the top left corner of your screen or even sometimes implemented into specific website such as amazon. I’ve tested the extension on many many websites, the big ones and the way less known ones that you wouldn’t really expect to be taken into account within the extension, but every single website I’ve tried it on so far has given me promotional codes. With the chrome extension Honey you can get insane deals, with the single press of a button the program automatically runs every possible promo code through your website and finds the best ones and sometimes multiple if they are compatible. You can save hundreds even thousands of dollars with this extension this year while Christmas shopping and the deals can be anywhere from 1-50% off of something. Another nice feature of the extension is the ability to upload a code of your own if you got access to one that isn’t already on the extension. Considering that the user base for this extension is massive, there will be constant codes in the system with up to hundreds for a single website making it so you never miss out on the best deals and most money saving.
Blur:
Blur service functions as password manager, email anonymizer and credit card masker all rolled up into one convenient package in the Chrome extension. Users can create and store strong passwords, and the service syncs your passwords across desktop and iOS devices for ease of use. Blur also includes tracker blocking for a variety of web trackers. Premium users of the service can also get anonymized credit cards to mask their online purchases.
Google Translate:
While Google Translate is already an excellent Web service for translating snippets of text to and from languages, the addition of a Chrome extension allows you to translate entire pages with a toolbar button. The extension automatically detects whether the site you're on uses a different language from your Chrome default, and can offer to translate it automatically. Users can also easily translate snippets of text, as well as listen to the proper pronunciation of translated words and phrases.

Insurgency
Insurgency is a really solid shooter with a smaller community. I just recently got it and it’s been a lot of fun playing it with my friends so far. The game is set in a war type scene and it’s a first person shooter team based strategy game with a “wave” system. Basically, you and your team has a set amount of waves at the start of the game, normally it is 15. When you die in this game you don’t re spawn, instead you wait for the next wave. When a certain number of people die on your team, a wave is used and everyone on your team is revived. So say in a king of the hill match, you use all your waves while the team has 2 more. Well you’re done unless you can pull yourself together and kill literally everyone 2 times over. The game offers a good range of playmodes, including some larger scale modes with respawns and reinforcements. Theres also a class system that goes into the game. Once you pick a class and join your squad, you can tweak your loadout through a very impressive and flexible system of attachments through the use of supply points. Once you take an attachment off you can then use those supply points to apply any other attachments that you want. Not only does this work with attachments, it works with weapons and equipment as well. You can get rid of a gun or side arm and equip more grenades or attachments onto other guns. Its a really nice system but with one really big set back. You can’t save your loadouts because of the supply point system. The maps don’t seem to have any set meta positioning either, which is really good level designing in my opinion. You’ll get killed from the dark and by people you cant even see but its things like that which make you want to get better and join the silent killers. The community is small and nice and could only be described as comfortable. The combat is pretty fun and cool but also pretty weird. You can literally shoot someone in the ankle 3 times and kill them which is a really weird mechanic. But if you shoot someone in the head then its a one shot kill no matter what which is definitely a plus. There are also lots of little tiny details that are really good too. If you aim your gun your body raises slightly which makes it possible to aim slightly over a wall to fire out at enemies. Or holding shift while standing still to get a slightly more zoomed in scope. You can also adjust your aiming speed while scoped vs while not scoped which allows for lots of control on the fly. This game is definitely wayyy different than most modern day first person shooters in this games. It definitely makes you really consider what you spend your supply points on. Its a really in depth realistic game while also unrealistic in some sense. Although its only 2 dollars on steam right now so I really suggest trying it out if you’ve got the time.

Group Kosovo Women’s Rights Organizations
On behalf of our High School experience, we have received a project to work on based on Kosovo. We have researched that Kosovo is a very new country and hasn't been acknowledged by all the countries yet. As we all were assigned our topics, we decided to research on Women's rights because we saw that a lot of women in your country have been struggling since the war that happened in 1998. Women have not only been having a hard time from this but also from trying to create their own future. We saw that there are a couple organizations that work in helping out women who were affected by war and such. This is why we decided that it is important to spread the word about Women in Kosovo to our class because they are new to becoming independent.
My group and I researched a couple of different organizations and saw a couple ways that people were working to fight and help women in Kosovo. One of the first organizations that was researched was done by Priscilla and I known as Women's Network of Kosovo. They focus on their goal to help out women and girls in Kosovo by supporting them and helping them live their life without any worries. Whether the girls goal be to graduate or seek education, escape abusive lifestyle, or make career choices. This organization will support them throughout the entire thing and help them with whatever is needed.
Another organization researched by a group member of mine is called Women for Women international, it was researched by Gianina Garibaldi. The organization like the others on this list helps out women of all ages in Kosovo who don’t get their voices heard or live an abusive lifestyle. It is really sad to these that these strong women are trying to fight back but are treated with a lot of inequality and are being discriminated because of their gender but not all women are being affected by this because thanks to this Organization, they have achieved to better many lives in many ways.
One of the other organizations my group got the chance to research and write to was Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. We saw that their organization focuses on helping many struggling women on taking bigger steps in the world and guides them through many things in life. This organization is actually the longest standing Kosovo women's rights supporting organization, being active since 1915 and has helped countless women young and old get the help they need and the guidance they need to make a better life for themselves outside of the abuse.
Next organization that my group got to research was done by Fernando Guzman. He got to research the organization OSCE or “Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe”. This organization focuses on women's rights in a political perspective. One of the things the organization does is support to the development of new policies and legislation. Another one of the things that the organization does is it focuses on community rights, including language rights, access to education, and much much more.
The final organization that we got the chance to research was done by Francisco Benavides. The organization is known as UNMIK or “United Nations Mission In Kosovo”. The organization supports women in Kosovo by exposing the topic and standing together to leave nobody behind. The company is a strong supporter of the rights of all and acknowledges that the country of Kosovo has problems doing the same between genders.

Destiny 2
I know I’m very late to this game and it has actually dropped a DLC a while ago but Activision is actually giving the game out free as a gift through Battle.net and I took the opportunity to get it. I barely have been playing it for two days and I have probably dropped a solid 18 hours already and I beat the entire main story line. From the begging of the game it is already very enticing, the story line was amazing and kept drawing me to play. It has amazing cut scenes and really good graphics even though the game its self isn’t that demanding on the computer. Throughout the game there is so much to do it is kind of overwhelming. You set yourself on the main story line but get yourself caught in many many side missions or public events or roaming bosses that are wanted and offer you really good loot for killing. By the time you’ve made it to your main story line you’ve probably done at least a side mission and a public event or two. The game has four planets outside of the Dead Zone which is the main planet that you fight for. These four planets are all very unique and offer a refreshing new feel with each and every one with a new color pallet, new enemies, and new side missions with every one. The power progression system makes the game fun as well. If you haven’t hit a certain power level before a certain time, then you can’t go on to the next story mission. This wasn’t a problem for me because I kind of play as a competitionist and it shouldn’t a problem for anyone unless they’ve been doing nothing but story missions and zero side missions the entire time. The item drop system is through something called engrams, engrams drop by chance when an enemy is killed or when a chest is opened. Some engrams can be obtained by completing quests. Engrams come in common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and exotic varieties. Exotic is the best and exotic weapons have very special abilities that make them stand out from the rest like explosive rounds, black hole and others. Overall the game is very fun and it is free right now on Battle.net so I highly recommend that you get it if you have an account, if you do not have an account then you should create one asap as the game will not be a gift for long. Once you’ve created an account or log in go to the gifts tab in the top right corner of the Battle.net launcher and redeem your gift. Visit the link here: https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/?ref=battle.net

Counter Strike Global Offensive
Counter Strike Global Offensive, or “CS:GO” for short, is a team based strategy game in which there are two teams that face off against each other in a terrorist vs counter terrorist 5 vs 5. The goal of the terrorist is to plant a bomb on one of the two bomb sites on the map that will detonate in about 45 seconds. While the goal of the counter terrorist is to either prevent that bomb from being planted in the first place by eliminating the terrorist team before it is, or by defusing the bomb after it has been planted either by being very sneaky or by again eliminating the terrorist team before defusing. There is a very intense competitive setting for CS:GO and it has many pros all across the globe. To get into competitive CS:GO it takes a lot of work. You need to learn tons of different places to correctly throw effective grenades, flash bangs, smokes, or molotov, you need to learn call outs for every position on the maps you play, and you need to know the mechanics and physics of the game if you want to get into the high ranks. When you play a game of CS:GO you can be in that game from 30-60 minutes at a time. The game ends when one of the teams hit 16 wins or both teams tie at 15 wins with a total of 30 wins for the game to end. If you die during a round that is it, no re spawn. You lose your guns, equipment, armor, etc. At the beginning of a round you can buy guns, grenades, equipment, and armor using the money you’ve accumulated throughout the game. You get money based off of kills that you get with the amount depending on which kind of weapon you used to kill that person. You can also get money at the end of a round with the amount depending on how many times in a row you’ve lost a round or won a round. The more you lose you generally get more money to try and give the losing team a way to come back and have a fighting chance. While fighting in the game it has a very very intense recoil and spray control system. The recoil of a gun will always be the same while the bloom might be a little different. Pro’s spend hours and days perfecting spray downs but the most effective way of playing with rifles in the game is to tap fire. Basically all you do is while you’re firing you take your shots one at a time controlling them instead of holding down the fire button and trying to control your spray. Rifles like the AK-47 can one shot an enemy if you aim directly at the head and it is very satisfying when you can get one taps like that. CS:GO has been one of my all time favorite games for years now and it will probably stay that way for years to come, the game is timeless as it has been very popular for many years and is still one of the biggest games and influences in the e-sports community to this day (if you have the game and want to play then message me on discord @DV8Fusion#9424)

VR pt 2
In today’s blog I want to revisit the topic of VR. If you’ve read my previous VR post you got to read about how I felt about the rig itself, but now I’ve got to play and experience and play a couple games and I have to say that i’ve grown to love it even more than I did previously. A couple games I played and love to play currently are: Job Simulator, Skyrim VR, and Beat Saber. In today’s post I’m going to be talking about each game I’ve played and why I love them so much.
Job Simulator
Okay so this game is a classic amongst people who’ve played VR. This game is basically a game in which you get to play as a person who can works many different kinds of jobs and do different tasks within these jobs. Some of the little tasks are very comical and some are serious but are fun all the same.
Skyrim VR
The game Skyrim Elder Scrolls V is a timeless masterpiece of a game and I don’t care about opinions when it comes to this because if you disagree then you haven’t played it enough… Anyways basically, Skyrim VR is Elder Scrolls V but in VR which is absolutely insane to think about considering that Skyrim is a massive open world RPG, but somehow it works. You might think that you miss out on some features using the VR rig on skyrim but it actually still contains everything that makes Skyrim so great. You can still cast magic, climb up massive mountains, fight dragons, explore dungeons, dragon shouts, and so much more.
Beat Saber
By far my favorite game on this list. Basically this game is star wars meets guitar hero and any other rhythm game you can think of. This game can be very fast paced just like any other rhythm game but your goal is to slash and hit every single cube that comes at you. These cubes have an arrow to indicate which direction you slash them and they vary in speed and direction. In addition to being stormed by cubes you need to slash to a beat, you need to avoid obstacles like walls and bombs that come at you at the same time.
All of these games run extremely well on VR if you’re able to run VR by default. I really recommend all of these games as they are extremely fun and are hard to get bored of.

Assassins Creed has always been one of my favorite video games of all time, whether it be Assassins Creed Brotherhood or Black Flag, I just love the game. As you may or may not know there is a newer game out called “Assassins Creed Odyssey” and I have finally had the pleasure of playing it. When I first loaded up the game and started it I instantly fell in love with it. The tutorial completely captivated me, the scenery of Ancient Greece and the story line of spartan times is enough to make anyone fall in love with the game alone. If you didn’t like the previous Assassin Creed games then you’ll love this one. The story is probably one of my favorite of all time. On top of that, the combat system and the parkour system is simplified and 100 times more fun and satisfying to play than some of the previous games *Cough cough* Unity *Cough*. The game also has a skill tree in which you can unlock amazing and cool combat and passive abilities that make the game just that much more interesting to play. There is also a leveling system to allow you to unlock points to use in your skill tree. As you level up in this game the story levels along side you. The enemies are always on your skill level so you’re constantly being challenged and it makes the game more fun to play. While the game doesn’t really feel like Assassins Creed, the game makes up for it with all its unique aspects. The game does require a bit of grinding towards the later game to level up and do harder missions but honestly it’s hardly grinding with how fun the side missions are and how involved the game is. The game is amazing and I definitely recommend it for anyone, Assassins Creed lover or not.

Terraria
So far my blog has been a lot about technology and hardware and not so much about gaming... Today I decided that I’d change it up a bit and talk about one of my all time favorite games, Terraria. Terraria is an amazing adventure/Rpg,kind of like Minecraft in a sense (but like way better). In the game you spawn your character in a 2D world that’s yours to explore, build, and craft. You break trees and mine ores to make weapons, armor, apparel, building items, etc. And the list is insanely long. You build houses and start a town of NPC’s all with a unique role in your world. Once you get powerful enough with whatever weapons you use whether it be magic, swords, ranged weapons, or even yo-yo’s, you can fight bosses. These bosses normally have multiple phases of difficulty and drop great loot to help you progress through your world. After you beat a mid tier boss in the biome of hell, you move onto another phase of your adventure, “hardmode”. After you reach hard mode you gain access to way better gear and way better armor and a lot more bosses to fight and keep you occupied. The game is very fun and mysterious and has a lot of small things to explore along side the amazing main goal that you have to accomplish. There are tons of things to do and once you beat the game, you’ve barely scratched the surface. One of the amazing things about Terraria is it’s modding community. The community is very active in modding and there are new mods being made constantly that add loads more content. From mods that add thousands of new items and dozens of new bosses to mods that add little in game tweaks to enhance your experience playing, the possibilities are endless. Combine that with the fact that you can load as many mods as your computer will let you run on a single world and you have a game to last you a lifetime. The game consists of a fair amount of grinding but that just makes the end game that much more exciting. Terraria is and always will be one of my favorite games of all time and it’s one of the few games you can accurately call timeless.

T-Shirts and Vinyl
As you may or may not know I have a huge project going on right now about a country that was chosen by my teachers that we had to study on and do a mock “Olympics”. So far we’ve had to gather statistics, study problems going on in the country, and now we have to make T-Shirts about our country for PE. These shirts must contain a country animal, the flag, and more. Luckily for me I have the stuff to do it all and I’m going to be going over the types of machines that are used to make this stuff. To start off I’m gonna talk about vinyl and making T-Shirts that way. The machine that’s used to cut vinyl for t-shirts and walls etc. is known as a plotter, plotters come in different sizes but the one I have is called a Graphtec FC8600 Series Vinyl Cutter. The FC8600 series has a maximum cutting speed of 58.5 in/sec, 4.0 G maximum acceleration, and 20 to 600 g selectable cutting forces, allowing me to process diamond grade, high-intensity reflective film, sandblast resist rubber, automotive window & paint protection films, self-adhesive vinyl, and much more materials that I might want to do. It uses lasers to track where the cuts are and is very accurate and fast. I love the machine and it’s stayed top of the line since I got it a couple years ago. The way shirts work is you buy the vinyl material for shirts and you upload a decal or vector or what you want to do through your computer onto your software for the plotter and you cut the design out. You then peel off all the sticker around your design and transfer your design onto a shirt using transferring tape. You put your shirt under a heat press for a couple seconds at normally around 300 degrees Fahrenheit and just like that you have your shirt. Like I said before the machine is very fast and accurate and it hasn’t failed me once in the years I’ve had it and it’s definitely making this project a whole lot easier.

My Setup
I know a lot of people who have really bad experiences playing video games primarily due to their setup and specs. I thought that considering I just bought a whole new PC, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Headset, Etc. that I would share what it’s all about. So lets start with my mouse. Currently I use a Speedlink Omnivore Core Gaming Mouse, and personally I love it. This mouse has basically anything you could want and is very comfortable. Lets start with the specs: Ultra-precise 12,000dpi optical sensor 10 freely configurable buttons Adjustable LED lighting glows in any one of 7 atmospheric colours Solid finger rest and aluminium base plate Profile management with any number of game profiles Powerful Macro Editor DPI switch for rapid toggling between resolutions 6 sensor precision levels from 800 to 12,000dpi Illuminated 2D scroll wheel indicates current dpi level Adjustable USB polling rate up to 1,000Hz Incredible ergonomic comfort with grippy scroll wheel and finger rest Rubberised finish Maximum acceleration: 50g Maximum tracking speed: 250ips Sensor frame rate: 12,000fps
So all in all it’s a lot of stuff especially if you don’t understand what any of it means basically... Its really really pretty, its really really accurate, you toggle the mouse sensitivity with a button press, and it has a lot of buttons you can customize. Now lets move onto the PC. I currently own an OMEN by HP. Not only is it VR compatible but it runs anything super smoothly and it thrives on high graphics, it’s water cooled, and it’s absolutely beautiful. Here are the specs: Windows 10 Home 64 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB GDDR5 dedicated) 16 GB memory; 2 TB HDD storage; 32 GB Intel Optane Memory for storage acceleration DVD-Writer The thing I love most about this PC is if you’re playing a game that runs extremely high graphics and you normally play on just normal graphics to run well, on this PC when you change the graphics to max quality it runs BETTER than when you ran it without them. Not to mention how absolutely amazing the PC cover looks... Lastly I’m going to talk about my monitor because this blog post is getting long... I currently run a Samsung 34″ Curved Widescreen Monitor and honestly at first I didn’t think I’d like a curved monitor but after using it I’ve found it to be so much better than anything else. It just gives a much better image and FOV while gaming. So here are the features: Quantum Dot Technology 3440x1440 Resolution 4ms Response Time Game Mode and FreeSync for Smooth Gameplay
I love the monitor as I previously stated and it’s super fast and super high quality resolution for any game. When it comes to the “Quantum Dot Technology” I honestly had to consult the internet for that one and it’s pretty cool, basically it’s a display device that uses quantum dots, semiconductor nanocrystals which can produce pure monochromatic red, green, and blue light. This is just a very very fancy way of saying it just makes the colors a lot better... Anyways I really like the new setup and it’s been treating me very well.

HTC Vive initial reaction...
So this weekend I went and bought myself an HTC Vive… I’ve always wanted to experience virtual reality and thought that it was now or never considering that I just recently bought a new PC setup that can support virtual reality really well. Upon receiving the Vive and doing a couple firmware updates I set up the cameras and was ready to go. The setup was really simple, just 2 sensors, 2 controllers, and the headset with a couple of cords and the software. Once you launch the Vive and link it with steam its all ready to go. I was able to download games right through SteamVR and play them great with beautiful graphics due to the specs on the rig. The specs are: Display Type: Virtual reality headset / AMOLED 3D Capable: Yes Built-in Devices: Microphone, camera Native Resolution: 2160 x 1200 at 90 Hz Features: Operation buttons Per Eye Resolution: 1080 x 1200 Overall the resolution was amazing and I honestly would recommend the Vive to anyone wanting to start out with virtual reality considering how easy it is to jump right into and the overall quality of the rig. One of my favorite things about the Vive is something called theater mode where I was able to download whatever movie I wanted to (in my case it was infinity war because that movie is amazing) and I watch it in 3D on a massive movie theater sized screen in perfect quality. The only downside to the whole movie thing is that the download size for the 3D VR movies are about 50 GB and it took me a solid 10 minutes at 45 GB/s. Even still it was probably one of the coolest things I’ve experienced so far when it comes to technology and I cant wait to dive further into it.
