I'm also feeling bitchy enough that if I go I know I'll say something unforgivable that will get me banned from every future holiday and get my husband taken out of the will. I can't be around Christians today.

so the house of representatives just passed a bill that will now move to the senate to BAN tik tok completely in the united states and they are expected to argue that “national security risks” outweigh the freedom of speech and first amendment rights. biden has already said that if it gets to him, he will sign it. whether or not you use the app…….this is something to be worried about

Ozempic and Wegovy Are Fucking Dangerous

I recently learned how Ozempic and Wegovy work, and I'm wondering who the first person to have a heart attack because of them is going to be.

One of the possible side effects is gastroparesis, where your stomach and digestive system just stop working, and that's bad enough. It happened to me in 2008 and I almost died. Do not recommend.

But these drugs eradicate your appetite. They make you lose weight by making you not want to eat. On the surface that sounds great, right? You lose weight by eating less!

You might remember, however, the textbook definition of anorexia is "not eating". If people are using these drugs to the point that they're barely eating, they have chemically-induced anorexia. I've also been anorexic. I also do not recommend. (I'm getting better, but depression is fighting me.)

When you don't eat enough, your body starts digesting itself. It doesn't just eat the fat; it's kind of indiscriminate. It eats muscle too, and your heart is a muscle.

I've already lost a cousin to anorexia. She had a heart attack because it makes our hearts so weak. That's what killed Karen Carpenter, a wonderful singer from the '70s.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of the celebrities who has lost a bunch of weight really fast with one of these drugs suddenly dies from a heart attack.

If you're being advised to take Ozempic or Wegovy for weight loss, please reconsider. People with diabetes are having a hard enough time getting insulin. Please don't risk their lives and yours just to fit into society's mold. You are a worthy human being, no matter what size you are, no matter what you look like. You don't have to be thin to be beautiful, and you don't have to be beautiful to be worthy.

I've wanted a pinball machine for a long time. If I could ever afford a house, which in this economy/country would involve me suddenly becoming rich, I'd totally buy a pinball machine. Ideally, it would have a theme like Batman or the Addams Family, some 90s Tim Burton movie thing like that.

We'd probably have a game room with a pool table, a dart board, and maybe an arcade game for my husband. Right now, we just have a dart board in our tiny apartment. It is nice to dream, though.

So if you could have 3 arcade games in your house. What would they be?

It’s one of those dumb “if I was rich” fantasies. But I’ve always wished I could have a real arcade game or pinball machine in my house.
