D.C Comics is Superior Franchise
The comic world is amazing! Being able to have a variety of choices that one could enjoy is probably the most exciting aspect in general. Although there is a myriad of choices, two comics that are leading contenders would include that of DC Comics and Marvel. Both consisting of amusing comic book universes that will keep one entertained for hours.  These two comics have dominated mainstream America for years now and although they both provide similarities, they are both very different as well.
Amid the comic world, when taking a look at the many different comics that have been generated, the one comic that is an attention grabber would include the work that has been orchestrated by DC Comics. There is no comic that comes close to that of DC Comics, even with Marvel being considered another competitor. If one were to do a comparison between the two, one could easily see that Marvel doesn’t come close to the body of work that is being mainstreamed for DC’s followers; their movies unfortunately are overplayed and just flat out boring. There is no mistaking it; Marvel has produced many movies that many Americans have enjoyed watching, movies such as Spider Man, the Avengers, Iron Man, and X-men. Although all of these movies have received fairly decent ratings, in my opinion these movies were mediocre. Whereas in comparison to that of DC comics, movies such as The Dark Night, Man of Steel, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman were true depictions of what a comic movie should entail. Hands down, DC Comics has better cartoons, television shows, and better movies.
When examining the two, one should understand that not only does the location in which they take place matter, but between them is the existence of over 100 characters too. Amongst the comic world, where these 100 plus characters exist plays a major role in how they function. Even though they both engage in battle with one main focus in mind; to protect their cities, their planet, their universe, one is usually based in reality while the other delves into a fictitious environment. On the one hand DC Comics chooses to operate in worlds like Gotham and Metropolis that are fictional in nature for their superheroes to protect their cities in, while Marvel’s are based in reality. Cities such as Washington DC and New York can be viewed as examples where Marvels superheroes fight to protect and control.  Even though the characters that exist within both are all magnificent, the focus will only be geared towards a few; The Avengers and the Justice League. Amongst the Avengers the main characters are Spider Man, the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Hawkeye. Whereas among the Justice league the characters include but are not limited to that of Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and the Martin Man hunter to name a few.
Therefore, every time someone takes a look at the two different comics there is always conversation centered around which is better and who would be victorious over the other if ever they were placed in a situation where they would have to fight one another. Being that the each encompasses different powers also makes the topic of defeat an interesting one. DC Comic superheroes obtain their powers usually from birth or through means of some ancient god. They usually develop over time or wait for some adverse situation to arise that will lend itself to their powers becoming known. On the contrary, Marvel superheroes receive their powers through some sort of freak occurrence that takes shape as the plot thickens. Concluding, that because of the nature of where the super powers derive from, it has been suggested by many that the Justice League and all of its superior superheroes would be the victor if ever such a battle occurred. If this battle ever transpired between that of Marvel and Justice League characters, it is my belief that the main fight would be in the middle of The Hulk vs Superman, Wonder Woman vs Thor, The Flash vs Spider Man, and Green Lantern vs Iron Man.
Nevertheless, starting with the Hulk vs Superman these are both super strong individuals. This would be an incredible fight. To watch them rumble would be really impressive because they would fight until someone was literally dead. Being that they are both super freaks would nearly destroy an entire city as they fought one another. One would see that within this battle Superman would utilize his laser bean while trying to freeze the Hulks breath as he flew the hulk up into space. On the other hand, the Hulk would try to crush him, but would ultimately be defeated by the strength and intelligence that Superman would display. He would outsmart the Hulk at every angle; especially considering his ability to not; there causing the only utilize his weaponry but also move around better than the Hulk to be defeated. Next, we have Wonder Woman vs Thor. This would be an amazing fight because they both have the abilities that have been granted to them from the gods. Both being gods themselves, they encompass a level of strength that superseded many of the others. These two are super strong and can use their knowledge, wisdom and fortitude to try to defeat the other.  It would be a great fight being that they are gods and super strong. Even though Thor, powerful and all, would put up a great fight with the use of his hammer, he is still no match for the Amazon princess. Wonder Woman would destroy him as she has been groomed for battle. He would truly see her skills and mindset the madder she became during battle as her fighting will become really intense. If she really gets upset you will feel her raft and she’s most likely worthy enough to pick up his Hammer and defeat him with it.
Another interesting fight would be a battle between Green Lantern vs Iron Man. This fight would be fascinating because they both are being powered by something bigger than them; the objects in which they carry. The objects in which I speak of include the power ring that is carried by the Green Lantern and the power ring that is carried by Tony Stark who turns into Iron man whenever he is ready for battle as a superhero. In the heat of battle, one could see these two chasing one another around the city trying to claim victory over the other.  Although extremely strong, Iron Man doesn’t stand a chance against the all mighty Green Lantern. Green Lantern will pulverize him while bringing home one for the team. If iron man is lucky he’ll still have another chance to see the next day after the Green Lantern is finished with him. Subsequently, as one takes a look at the Flash vs Spider Man. Wow what could one say, this would be a great fight but one that wouldn’t really last ling. It would take the Flash a matter of seconds to defeat Spider Man. Spider Man lacks both the speed and stamina that would be required to defeat the Flash on any given day. The only weapon that Spider Man possess is a web which is really no match for the Flash whose strength is 10 times stronger than that of Super Man’s and speed is faster than a Nano second.
In addition to the aforementioned above, as one gives attention to that of the actual tone of their movies, it is interesting to note what helps to grab the attention of its loyal followers.  I would have to say that DC Comics are still the champions in this area as well. DC Comics are not only loaded with mounds of animation, but the story lines are better too. Their movies can be viewed as being grittier with an exaggeration of moodiness; which all seems to set a tone that captivates its audience while leaving them wanting more. DC Comics takes the Win on this, as their films typically darker than that of Marvels with a little humor sprinkled in for added attraction. This can be seen in their film Teen Titians, Young Justice, Batman, and the Justice League. Marvel, on the other hand has predictable story lines in their series of the Avengers and Spider Man where within these two are mediocre at best. These are the only two shows out of all of the comics that they really showcase on the air.  Therefore, providing their audience with films, that can be construed as being more humorous and playful in nature. When it comes to the actual television shows, Marvel comedic aura,  just added a new show called Luke Cage and the show is actually pretty good; this is, in my opinion Marvels first good television show to date since the Avengers came out. Mean While DC Comics on the other hand, has Gotham Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, The Flash, and Super girl which are all great television show too.
To conclude, when taking a look at the two it is evident that DC Comics, hands down affords its viewers remarkable entertainment. DC comics, was not only created during an earlier time frame, but they also afford the opportunity to view more epic superpowers being utilized by its characters. DC also brings forth a more extreme sci-fi existence focusing primarily in fantasy making its movies more entertaining. DC being way better then Marvel because D.C wins in every category, it’s a hard comparison between the two, but one would have to come to the realization that D.C is way better, as it just has more and better in every aspect.

D.C Comics Underrated Characters
In reviewing the D.C. Comics, I have grown very fond of its entertainment, characters, and story line in general. Being extremely underexposed, in this review I plan to shed light on those characters that have been left hanging in the balance. Characters such as Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Black Adam and Green Lantern to name a few, never gained the notoriety that they were so deserving of. It is my expectation, that by exposing their greatness, many others who have been kept in the dark will begin to share in the same passion that I have for these characters while continuing to help make D.C. Comics one of the best in its time currently. Arthur Curry (Aquaman) is a legend in his time. Making his debut in 1941, not only is he a key member of the justice league, but has gained the title of being called the king of Atlantis. As a top contender, Aquaman has definitely been coined as one who can combat anyone or anything that comes his way. His strength and perseverance sets him apart from the rest amongst the justice league. His ability to defeat anyone under and above water proves that he is a true force that shouldn’t be messed with. With a very dangerous nature, this Golden Tridents stands 6 foot 7inches tall; he could be seen defeating Batman with very little effort being displayed.       Another character that has been underrepresented in the comic world is a personality known as Martin Manhunter (J’onn J’onzz). As an original member of the justice league, he first appeared in1955 and has since proven himself of being one of the founders who was responsible for not only watching over the watch tower to ensure that no danger reaches others but also telepathically reaching out to other members of the justice league on earth to warn of the invaders that would try to rule the world. With his tenacious nature, his sole duty is to utilize his superpowers to protect the lives of others. His superpowers includes: encompassing superhuman strength, a great deal of speed, very limited invulnerability, invisibility, super intelligence, telekinesis, and being telepathic too. As a great superhero, Manhunter has been coined as being the middle man for humans to rely on for protection. He’s been around for a long time as he utilizes all of his powers for good to protect and severe people who otherwise would be in danger. Most times he uses his shape shifting ability to become anything he’s thinking of becoming at that time. .      Being ranked the 16 th greatest comic book villain, Teth Adam (Black Adam), making his first appearace in 1945, was a champion that turned bad. Starting out as a slave, he was on a mission after being given certain powers and him utilizing them, he becomes stricken with greed and makes it his mission to fight for what he believes he deserves. In his quest to conquer and rule anything magical gives him the ability to try to destroy anything that gets in the way of him accomplishing this goal. He is a very vicious person who not only sole his powers from his nephew Aman after helping to save him from the raiders as well as from ancient Egyptian gods such as Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Aton, and Mehen. All of these gods when put together help to spell out the name Shazam and provide Black Adam with powers that are comparable to that of Captain Marvel. Even though Black Adam is a power struck villain, he despises slavery and has a true conscious. He has also fought twice to save the lives that exist on earth and who Black Adam powers encompassed super speed, super strength, the ability to flight, invulnerability, being super human, having a healing factor, magic, and intelligence. Nevertheless, the majority of Black Adam’s fights were always against Shazam. This is interesting because not only did he acquire his powers that spelled out Shazam, but this unsolved conflict that existed amongst the two was ongoing. The best fight recorded took place between he and Shazam and Superman. He ultimately lost this battle but showed enough courage to stand alone while fighting the two at the same time. This fight was totally amazing in the world of comics. Therefore, showing just how much of a superhero he truly is.    Lastly, Hal Jordan (the Green Lantern), was one of the very first human beings to ever be inducted into the green lantern world. The Green Lantern has been around for over 70 years after making its first appearance back in 1940. He is also regarded as being the best green lantern that has ever walked the face of earth. As one of the founding members of the justice league, the green lantern the power rings were bestowed upon him as a dying alien named Abin Sur crashed his starship in a California desert. He was chosen because he had the ability to overcome great fear. During the time that the power rings chose Hal, he found out about all of the amazing things the power rings were capable of doing. His main job was to protect all life forms that existed amongst sectors 2814. Can you imagine being given a powerful ring; having a person put it on your finger and you not even realizing how unstoppable youve just become. The power ring is the most powerful weapon on earth and he was chosen to wear it; what an honor! The Green Lantern stands out because of his ring any and everything he wishes for or thinks
of, is granted before his very eyes. With the alien Technology, he is unstoppable. I can recall watching an episode where Batman and Green Lantern fought Superman. During this episode, the Green Lantern was able to trap Batman, but ultimately lost the battle due to his selfish behaviors. He realized a valuable lesson; it is always better to work as a team than alone.   As I conclude, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading about a few characters, who for the longest, have been kept behind the scenes and forgotten. I think that the characters in which I chose to bring exposure to, are awesome. They have brought a lot to either D.C. Comics or to the justice league in general. Whether being a great superhero or a villain, these are just a few characters I think are really powerful but just get over shadowed by the greats like superman and wonder woman and batman and some other members of D.C comics. Their contributions to the world have been phenomenal.

Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman has made it to the theatres! I was elated to hear that they have, yet again made another movie about a character that has been so important over time. So when I went to go see wonder woman I was like super excited for it I couldn’t believe it. Dc. comics has come a long way I think wonder women is the best movie since man of steel came out, the animation in this movie was awesome Gal Gadot played an amazing role as wonder women. Chris and Gal had a cool connection for example like the boat ride they were talking about sleeping with the opposite sex and talking about sex. This movie shows us about Wonder Woman Origin as she trains to be a amazon warrior then a man washes up on shore she then saves a man and a man is rare to see in her world she learns about WW1 then wants to help. The chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine was good it took the movie to a whole another level I became attached to the plot of the story the two were learning from each other . like he first washed up on the shores he was caught off guard to find he was the only male on the island then she was teaching him the ways of the amazon people. Vise versa when she came to America she had to learn how we move she was like a fish out of water she was so naïve to certain things it was funny to see. They made the perfect team as they fought through it all while learning each other way of living but in the end they were chasing the same thing one real and one not real wonder woman was convinced that to stop the war she needs to find Aries god of all war Chris Pine was convinced that to end the war his country had to defeat the Germans so they fought. I really enjoyed the plot like the last scene where Chris is talking to Gal and we cant hear anything and he just runs off and hands his watch to her then she’s stuck under Aries metal and she watches Chris save the day by killing himself and she’s screaming to the top of her lungs and breaks free we then hear what he says to her. I really felt that and with Gal Gadot screaming and crying it was like she really felt it like that scene was played so well it was amazing. Now for the animation with all this new  technology they did a great job like to see Gal Gadot flying through windows is just great. The scene where their right on the battle field and their loosing the shoot out with the Germans she looks at the men she fight with and she gets up and  she’s jumping and running and using her powers to dodge the bullets, it literally gave me goosebumps watching her do these things. When they had the little fight on the beach and the amazon women were flipping off horses shooting bows and arrows the beach scene was exciting and very detailed.  They did a lot slow motion shots which was cool at first but then I felt like it was a little over doing it don’t get me wrong the slow motion was cool but almost every action scene had slow motion. The scene where she throws her shield into the building and they don’t even show if the person is injured or not you just know he’s dead. The last scene when she fighting Aries and she tries to use the sword on him and it had no effect on him and then they were fighting wonder woman was like running through concrete and she was throwing like trucks at Aries and he was he was dodging it then she tried to throw a crate of bombs at in and he stopped it and sent them back. The best part of the movie was when she realized her full power and Aries had just struck her lighting and she redirected it and then
she started flying and they made this shot where it look like who was more powerful and wonder woman killed him with some type of light from the sky. This movie was really great I was pleased with Dc comics and the writers on making this movie. When they made this movie they knew this movie had to be great. Wonder woman is a big character in the comics and she’s plays a very important role in the justice League.  I love wonder woman she’s tuff she’s beautiful she’s everything. They did a great job when making this movie I can watch this movie over and over again. This movie kind of reminded me of Captain America in some ways but this was a great movie can’t wait to see what else Dc has for us.
