Google | Business As Usual from Joshua Kissi on Vimeo.
“Business As Usual” is about creating your own sense of movement, taking ownership of what you can influence, and being the author of your own story. A sense of peace and happiness when things seem to be burning around you. And the fact that we have to continuously choose ourselves.
Our setting, Leimert Park, is known for being the center of historical African-American art and music in LA. @NeighborsSkateShop, through the love, energy and impact of skateboarding, helps protect and preserve that culture.
And it is with this sentiment that we were able to showcase businesses that serve the community and tell the story of our hero, @akwxi.

Mansa, an African woman with albinism has had her arm hacked off by Natron the witch doctor in the name of witchcraft. Robbed of her security, career and dignity, Mansa now hunts Natron in a bid to confront him and seek her revenge.
This important story highlights the plight of this vulnerable, outcast group and shines a light on a dark practice which still takes place in parts of Africa today.

Revolution On The Mind for HungerTV from Anna Radchenko on Vimeo.
Wonderful Legacy to Leave Behind is a mixed media project, reflecting on the current situation in contemporary Russia.
I was born and raised in Moscow, and now on my 5th year in London, I felt this urge to create something with my Motherland in mind.
The series consists of 4 animation pieces, which were created in collaboration with motion designer Eskay Lama.
Topics addressed in the project: corruption on natural resources, desperate and hopeless attempt to hold on to the old values, thirst for change, reconsideration of gender roles.

In Russia - в России from Vincent Urban on Vimeo.
A landmass so vast it’s hard to wrap your head around, spanning over 11 timezones and 2 continents, filled with otherworldly landscapes, countless discrete cultures and crowded cities with rather turbulent histories.
On the one side, this film shows a slice of this relentless diversity of a place rarely visited by tourists - and on the other, it is an exploration of all the different lenses, viewpoints and expectations one can apply in a travel film about a mysterious country riddled with stereotypes.
Over the next few weeks, we will post extra footage, BTS and more info on our Instagram channels: @vincenturban, @muxsux, @timhoeddinghaus, @27km
For this film, I teamed up with my friends Maximilian Neumeier and Tim Höddinghaus. The 3 of us went on a total of 4 trips, each spanning over roughly 10 days, which brought us to 6 distinct locations in 3 different seasons: Moscow in spring, Kamchatka in fall, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Salekhard and Lake Baikal in Winter.
This project could have never been realised without the help of the production company 27km, our local guides Andrey Manirko, Vadim Makhorov and the countless other people who helped on-location in Russia and in postproduction back in Germany. It has been a very long journey and we are forever grateful.
