Naomi arrived at Alexa's house were she was greeted by her Aunt with a hug.
"How was your trip to Isla? How are Autumn and Trysten?" Alexa was shooting questions at her at lightning speed and Naomi could barely keep up. Alexa led Naomi into the living room where Brynn was sitting as well, Alexa sat next to him.
"Mom and dad are good, the trip went good. Cato got their approval." Naomi said, setting her bag down and then sitting in the couch across from Alexa and Brynn. She looked between the two, she was nervous about this. But she had to know.
"Alexa said you wanted to come over and ask me something?" Brynn asked, leaning forward and Naomi nodded. Swallowing her fear before she finally spoke up.
"How do we go to the genie world, what does it take to set him free."

Naomi and Cato returned to Bridgeport and settled back into their usual routine easily.
"Me and Alexa are having a girls night." Naomi said one day while laying with Cato on the couch "I'm going to go over there."
Cato looked at her "An entire night?" He asked
"Maybe, why? You gonna get lonely without me?" Naomi teased booping him on the nose, Cato grabbed her hand and kissed her fingers.
"I was alone for a long time before I met you. I think I can manage one night." He said against her fingers. Naomi blushed.
"Where is Brynn gonna be?" Cato asked
Naomi shrugged and laid her head down on his chest. "Alexa said she was gonna kick him out for the night."
That evening came.
"Don't have too much fun without me." Naomi teased
"Oh I wont." He said, finally letting go of her. He watched her until she rounded the corner, then went back into the apartment and shut the door.

The rest of the trip passed without anymore of them trying to sneak out to bars, and without incident. The last day came
Naomi said her goodbyes to her parents, and gave them hugs. Promising to visit them again soon. When Trysten grabbed Cato and pulled him aside while Naomi and Autumn said their goodbyes.
"It was nice to finally meet you." Trysten said, Cato nodded in agreement.
"You know, the first time she came and visited she mentioned she had met someone."
"She did?"
"Mhm, and that the someone was nice and helping through her heartbreak."
Cato decided to keep quiet.
"Continue to be there for her when we cant. Please. She is my little girl and I would hate for her to be lonely. You make her happy."
"Of course." Cato said, looking down at the ground as if to bow his head. He felt relief wash over him at Trystens approval.
Now it was time to go home to Bridgeport

The night went on, the bartender introduced himself as Ibis when he made Naomi her next Martini. Cato, who was still annoyed, ordered a Martini as well to see what the hype was about, he hated admitting that Naomi had been right. It was the best Martini he had ever had.
Cato's silence hadn't gone unnoticed by Naomi though, and as Ibis walked away to serve someone else. Naomi smiled at Cato
Cato stood and walked away towards the stairs, Naomi followed.
"Are you upset?" Naomi asked once they got upstairs. The upstairs was empty except for them.
"Why would I be upset?" Cato asked, though he wasn't facing her,
"Cause of what Ibis said." Naomi said, Cato finally looked at her, then he backed her up until she was against the wall.
"He annoyed me, yes. But it's not your fault." Cato said, he placed a hand on her cheek and leaned down to kiss her, Naomi's eyes fluttered close. She could still taste the martini as he kissed her.
Then she felt a hand traveling down her waist, further and further until it was at the hem of her jeans. She squeaked
"We are in a public space." She hissed, her heart was pounding in her chest with exhilaration
"No one is around, It's abandoned up here" Cato said as leaned down and kissed her neck, Naomi couldn't believe this was happening.
"Someone could walk in." She gasped as his hand went into her pants.
"If someone does, I'll teleport us away quick enough. They wont even know it was us." He bit her neck, and Naomi gasped. Any retort was erased from her mind.
She was completely at his mercy.

After an entire day spent at the beach with Autumn and Trysten, Naomi and Cato decided it was time to sneak away for some time to themselves.
It was evening and Autumn and Trysten had retired to their rooms for the night, while Zat was on the charger, and Cato and Naomi were sneaking through the house like teenagers who were out past their bedtimes. Even though Naomi knew she was an adult, and knew her parents wouldn't care.
"Hey, what can I get you?" The pink haired bartender asked Naomi and Cato just as they sat down.
"Beer." Was Cato's response
"A Martini, please." Naomi said, the bartender nodded and turned around to prepare the drinks, doing flips and tricks with the alcohol bottles as he did. Naomi had never seen someone preform in that way before.
He then got the beer from the tap for Cato, and slid their drinks towards them.
"Why don't you surprise your roommate and not go home tonight?" The bartender asked Naomi, which cause Cato to choke on his drink and Naomi to blush
"Huh?"
"Excuse me?" Cato and Naomi said over each other, Cato stood
"I am not her roommate, I'm her boyfriend." he said leaning over the bar, trying to appear threatening
"Calm down." the bartender said "Wrong assumption that's all. Enjoy your drinks." He said, then went to go serve someone else who had just walked in.
Cato didn't stop glaring at him as he walked away before he finally sat down and took a drink, still fuming. Naomi took a drink of her own, then moaned in pleasure.
"This is the best Martini I have ever had." She exclaimed, the bartender turned towards her
"You're welcome." He said

and that's what they did. They had been here once before together. But hadn't had much time to explore since they had been chasing after Noah the entire time.
Naomi thought back on that day, and how she was so determined to find Noah and question as to why he hadn't been answering her.
In hindsight it was so obvious, memories of that day went through her head. But one stood out the most.
Cato was sitting next to her in his own silence.
"The first time we came here together...." Naomi started "You held me." Cato looked at her
"I had to teleport with you, duh." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"By hugging me so tight?" Naomi asked, and Cato sighed
"Fine, I didn't have to hug you that tight." He admitted "I wanted to."
Naomi tilted her head at him "How long did you like me before New Years Eve?"
"I started liking you after we returned that day that you found out about Noah." Cato admitted. Naomi smiled
"So you liked me first." She teased lightly
"Yeah...guess I did."
Naomi looked back down into the water "You know....I had a dream about you soon after that day too."
"Oh yeah? What was it about."
"You asking to kiss me." Naomi said shyly, a small blush dusting her cheeks "I started liking you soon after the situation with Noah too." Naomi admitted
"And you teased me about liking you first." Cato said. Naomi giggled, last time they were here they hadn't been able to explore much, this time it would be different and she knew it.

"Morning mom and dad." Naomi said with a smile as she walked into the living room. Cato wasn't far behind her but purposely kept a few feet of distance from her.
"Morning Naomi. Sleep well?" Autumn asked with a smile as her daughter sat next to her.
"yeah." Naomi responded and Cato stopped just before the couch and stood there awkwardly. Unsure of what to do.
"What do you two have planned for today?" Trysten asked
"I don't know. Maybe just walk around a bit." Naomi said with a smile

When Cato woke up the next morning he expected to find Naomi laying next to him.
Instead he was met with the glowing eyes of Zat staring straight at him, he had never sat up and teleported so quickly in his existence, though it didn't get him as much distance away from the robot as he'd like.
Naomi sat up just as quickly and looked around the room confused
"What's going on?" she asked, rubbing her eyes and looking between Zat and Cato who was currently crouched in the corner by her dresser. She frowned
"Why are you over there." She asked
"Your robot was watching me." Cato said, pointing to Zat who's lights just blinked
"Zat was only checking on Naomi because Autumn asked Zat to. Zat did not mean to scare you, boyfriend of Naomi."
"Checking on Naomi but watching me while I sleep?" Cato asked, he felt a tick coming on.
"Zat apologizes." The robot bowed to Cato "Zat will go let Autumn know that Naomi and boyfriend of Naomi is awake."
"I have a name you know..." Cato mumbled, but Zat had already left the room. Naomi looked at him and she didn't know if she should be amused or annoyed.
"Zat is harmless I promise." Naomi finally decided on saying, she stood from the bed and stretched. "Now get out from there, you remind me of a cat sometimes." Naomi said, Cato narrowed his eyes at her.
"How?" He asked
Naomi didn't say anything. Just turned and walked out of her room.
"Naomi how?!"

After desert Naomi excused herself with an exaggerated yawn
"Man, all that traveling wore me out. I think I'm going to go to bed. Night mom and dad." Naomi said and she stood, Cato took the cue and followed her. "Night uh..."
"You can call us by our names." Trysten reassured "No need to be formal."
"Ok, goodnight Autumn and Trysten." Cato said, and he followed Naomi back to her room.
Once inside and the door was closed Naomi turned and looked at him.
"How is it that mom had your lamp and it followed me to Bridgeport? I have never seen it in my life until that night that I tripped over it."
"How the hell should I know? I'm just as confused as you." Cato responded "It's not like I know what goes on outside of it. Not until I'm summoned at least."
Naomi plopped down on her bed, Cato sat across from her.
"It's like we were meant to meet huh." Naomi said with a grin
"That's cheesy as hell."
Naomi giggled and laid back on her bed. Cato laid next to her. They looked at each other.
"I think they like you."
"How do you know? They seemed mad when they found out that my lamp supposedly followed you."
"I think they were just as amazed as we were."
Naomi cuddled up to Cato and closed her eyes, "Don't you need to get changed?" He asked
"Mm use your magic."
He rolled his eyes, "I think you are becoming too reliant on my magic, master." He teased poking her in the side. She squealed and tried to scoot away but there was only so much room for her to escape on the bed.
"Fine, but this is the last time." Cato said and he raised his hands and clapped them together, it was as if breath of fresh air came through the room and the two of them were clean and in their pajamas.
"Says you." Naomi said "We'll see."
Cato knew she was right. As long as he was with her just as long as it prevented her from making wishes he would do small things for her.
He looked down at her, she was breathing steadily. A sign that she had fallen asleep on him, leaning down he kissed her on the head and then followed her into sleep as well.

Dinner ended and Zat came in to clean up the dishes. While Naomi went into her room to grab the lamp, leaving Cato alone with her parents for the first time since they arrived.
They stared at him, and he looked anywhere but them. Part of him wanted to snap at them, ask them why they were staring, but he didn't want to make a bad impression
Thankfully Naomi came back a few moments later, lamp in hand and set it on the table.
"There." Naomi said 'There's his lamp."
They watched as Autumn's eyes widened, then she looked at Trysten, then back at the lamp.
"What?" Naomi asked, she was getting exasperated by now.
"Where did you get this?" Autumn asked finally looking at her daughter.
"Cato told you, I tripped over it in an alley way." Naomi said. Usually her mom and dad weren't this dodgy about stuff.
"I'll be right back." Trysten said, standing and Naomi was about ready to throw up her hands in frustration.
"Mom could you tell me what's going on. You guys are confusing me and scaring me." Naomi asked
"Seth and Eden brought me to Egypt when I was young, They brought me through one of the great pyramids. Told me not to touch anything. I listened to them except for one thing."
She seemed to be done with her story, and Cato felt his eye twitching in response. But he bit his tongue as to not swear at Autumn.
"Autumn, it does appear to be gone. Or at least not in the same place." Trysten said coming back from wherever he had gone.
"What's gone!?" Naomi said, interrupting whatever it was Autumn was about to say. Both Autumn and Trysten looked at her.
"The thing I found was a lamp that looked exactly like that. I brought it home, but it appears to have followed you."
"Can lamps do that? Do they have a mind of their own?" Naomi asked looking at Cato, she wasn't the only one looking at him either. Trysten and Autumn were watching him so closely that he almost felt retreating back into it just to escape their staring eyes.
"Uh no, that's stupid. It's an inanimate object." Cato responded
"Well some sort of magic happened, because I'm pretty positive that this is the exact lamp I found in Egypt." Autumn said nodding to Cato's lamp. "Unless they all look the same."
"No, we all have our own unique lamps." Cato said
A silence settled over the group, before Trysten spoke up.
"Desert anyone?"

"Lamp you say?" Autumn asked
"Uh yeah..."
"So you are a genie?" Trysten asked
"Yes." Cato said slowly, looking between her parents. He then looked at Naomi wondering if he said something wrong.
"Interesting." Trysten said, stabbing his food with a fork
"What?" Naomi asked
"It's just....do you happen to have the lamp still?" Autumn asked, looking at Naomi
"Yes?" Naomi said, the confusion written on her face clearly
"Can I see it?" Autumn asked, "After dinner of course."
Naomi looked at Cato "Would that be ok?" She asked him
"I guess..."

Dinner was served, and Naomi was visiting with her parents, they were asking questions that parents normally asked
"Hows summer vacation going?"
"Good."
"When do you start classes again?"
"In a few months."
"Are you eating OK? Sleeping OK? Going to bed at a decent time?"
"Yes, mom."
Cato listened in quietly, not really eating. Then the question that made both of the freeze came up.
"So, how long have you two known each other?" Trysten asked, and Cato looked up. He was studying him carefully.
"Hmm." Naomi said thoughtfully "It's been almost a year."
"How did you two meet?" Autumn asked, and Naomi suddenly got nervous. "Eh heh..." She laughed
"She tripped over my lamp in the alley way and summoned me." Cato responded simply. Naomi had said that her parents wouldn't care what he is after all.
But the sound of eating stopped and now he was being stared at by Autumn and Trysten.

Cato remembered the conversation the night at Waffle House, about how Naomi's mom had been taken in by Alexa's parents. He turned and looked at her. Realizing that there was so much he didn't know about her or her family. Naomi dug out the lamp and set it on the dresser.
"Anyways, mom and dad wont care if you tell them what you are by the way. Mom was raised by vampires and dad of course is a merman. So don't be afraid to use magic or whatever." Naomi said
Cato had magicked everything that Naomi had put in his lamp out so that Naomi could put things away while he sat on her bed. There wasn't much conversation as she put clothes into her drawers. So Cato busied himself studying the room around him. Books of course, notebooks, some CDs, pens, pencils.
Naomi finished putting her stuff away and turned and looked at him.
"We can go out now, mom and dad are probably waiting on us." She said, and Cato stood from the bed and followed her out of the room.

They were led into Naomi's parents house and once inside, Naomi went straight to her room to drop off her stuff. Cato followed her.
It was like stepping into a time capsule, nothing in her room was disturbed and there was some very obvious signs that the room had once belonged to a teenage girl. With pictures up on the wall of people Cato didn't recognize, except for a few pictures of Noah. She obviously hadn't been home long enough to take them down. Posters of her idols on the wall, and sparkly things.
Naomi went to her bed and took off her backpack set it on the bed, and unzipped it.
"It's been a while since I've been here." She laughed awkwardly when she noticed Cato looking at her pictures. Specifically a picture of her when she was a toddler with a yellow and black robot who was holding her hand as she tried to walk. He was about to ask her about it when he heard a noise next to him and looked, jumping in surprise at the sight of the same robot in the picture staring at him.
"Zat don't scare people." Naomi laughed, the lights behind the robots eyes seemed to blink.
"Zat was not trying to scare anyone. Zat is just wondering who this is." The robot responded
"He's my boyfriend. Zat this is Cato." Zat didn't respond, but the answer seemed to be enough for it. Zat turned and hovered out of the room.
"Zat must need to go charge or something, it's battery definitely isn't as strong as it used to be."
"You didn't tell me you had a robot too?" Cato said as he took a few steps back, Naomi smiled sadly.
"Mom built it." She explained "It's the only part of her bio father and mother she has left."

The flight to Isla paradiso was uneventful, and Naomi and Cato arrived quickly. Naomi was walking with her backpack which was the only thing she had brought along, a way to carry the lamp and some entertainment on the plane.
They exited the airport and got into a cab. Naomi leaned forward and gave the instructions to the cab. The ride over was silent. Cato had heard Naomi talk to her parents on the phone many times but he was still unsure of what to expect. He felt Naomi grab his hand and he looked at her. She gave him a reassuring smile and squeezed his hand. The truth was, she was nervous about her parents meeting Cato too.
They finally pulled up to a house on the outskirts of town, right along a beach and two people stood outside. A short woman with hair identical to Naomi's and a much taller man with long grey hair.
"There they are!" Naomi said, the car came to a stop and Naomi paid before she jumped out of the cab and hugged her mom, and then her dad.
"Mom! Dad!"
They hugged her back while Cato stood awkwardly on the side, and then Naomi's mom looked at him and he felt himself bristle as her red eyes studied him.
"You must be her boyfriend." She said, and despite the harsh color of her eyes, they were soft inviting and friendly and Cato felt himself relaxing.
"Uh yeah."
"Mom, dad this is Cato." Naomi said standing next to him.
"It's nice to meet you." Her dad said holding out his hand, Cato took his hand and shook it.
