grimmjow's gaze flickers between the blurb of words at his lover's lap and the movement of his adam's apple as he swallows. he hadn't paid enough mind to what he'd read to make sense of it— something promotional, maybe. seireitei bullshit, they could both agree, but he'd keep that thought to himself.

“mm,” the sound that leaves him is akin to a chirp, hummed right into the skin of kensei's neck. a small, light tug pulls on the man's earlobe, a silent but clear request for attention. “you've been lookin' at this for hours.” it hadn't truly been that long, but grimmjow was merely impatient and tired of watching kensei overwork himself. a break was well warranted at this time of night. "made stuff," he murmurs a beat later, fingertips rubbing soothing movements into the shoulder his own weight wasn't occupying. "come pick what'cha want."

shuffling over to @paintrain and leaning down to see what he's working on. he knows it's paperwork of some kind, so he's only mildly interested.

he doesn't say anything at first; only after a moment's passing does a hover from behind turn into a firm headbutt, right on kensei's shoulder.

💙 grimmjow dislikes being away from his other half for so long. he's happier in kensei's presence, so he tends to be a little crabby when they aren't together. (and he's clingy when kensei finally comes the hell home.)

💧 various things haunt grimmjow, the worst being a risky mission for yours truly. (kisuke, his beloathed.) details aside, the situation nearly had him killed. certain aspects of the event keep him awake at night or distant during the day. at times he loses touch with the moment and has to be coaxed back into the present.

🖍️ you're allowed to be happy.

🍁 secretly, grimmjow adores autumn; the air has a particular scent he enjoys, and cooler weather has always felt better on his skin. (while certain aspects of it seem childish to him, he also has keen interest in halloween, including some of the ridiculous films. yes, he likes pumpkin spice. no, he won't let you know that.)

☕️ this one is difficult to say. he enjoys both hot and cold beverages, but cold ones simply occur in his day-to-day more frequently. he doesn't have a favorite, either, but he does have a rather odd fixation for iced coffee.

💤 he can't always sleep easily at night, but he does nap often and sleep in most of the time. he happens to be a bit of a deep sleeper once he allows himself to let his guard down, but little aside from the presence of his mate will let him rest easily. (when they're apart, he insists on video calls.)

headcanons & relations.

will also include character dynamics i'd like to have with grimmjow. list will be updated as i think of things to add, or as things occur on his blog. this may or may not be formatted properly in the future.

his hair is dyed a soft periwinkle. he's punctual with it, given his distaste for the blue. (here's something i commissioned for while he's in his resurrección. his ears stay blue because it's fur he can't dye.) when his ears are out, he finds himself inwardly a little put off by the color difference. don't use or save the art.

often times, grimmjow's extended ears and tail make an appearance even when he's not in any form. (when not in his resurrección, his tail is furry and matches that of his ears.)

the cartilage of his 'regular' ears form a small point, akin to an elf's ears. he has a few asymmetrical piercings and enjoys wearing cuffs and chains. he also wears jewelry that covers the natural point sometimes, especially when he doesn’t want attention drawn to them.

he's french. it's also his mother tongue and the language he thinks in; sometimes he struggles to word things correctly, but he doesn't tend to speak it around others unless they already know about it. that list is pretty small as of right now.

he’s got a lot of cat stuff going on. he has good balance, purrs when he's in the mood, and his senses are terribly sharp. it’s easy to overwhelm his sense of smell, though. for this reason, he isn’t fond of strong or excessive perfumes, candles, oils, or other fragrances. if overstimulated, he can develop a headache.

outside of any scent related triggers, he does suffer from chronic migraines.

he naps frequently, though they're typically on the shorter side unless he's having a bad day.

he's got that master chef skill. he won't cook for just anyone, but whatever he does make you is sure to be good.

he's married. :v to one kensei muguruma, no less. (so unless i decide to shake it up in the future, this blog will remain single ship & pre-shipped.)

grimmjow plays the guitar sometimes. mostly when he's alone, since he isn't a fan of sharing what goes on in his brain. the same can be said for art- he's always doodling or painting, but he keeps it all to himself.

characters i'd like dynamics with: * nelliel is like an adopted sister to him. he's not too verbally keen on admitting it, but they have a strong bond and he's clearly comfortable in her presence. (please let him write stuff for her to sing.) * ichigo is certainly an acquired taste, but he's grimmjow's unfortunate go-to when he's in the mood to play videogames or smoke. friend is still too strong of a word, though. (open to writing with ichigo's friends that grimmjow may also play with or occasionally hang around!) * shinji was one of the first people to communicate with him in french. in a way, the two are decently acquainted and grimmjow is surprisingly patient around him, but they don't share company too often. * kisuke is someone grimmjow has a complicated relationship with. part of him wishes to cut ties with the man, but the other part of him knows it would be difficult. he's incredibly annoying more often than not, but kisuke does care about him in his own way and it shows. occasionally, grimmjow does missions for him in exchange for money, or other things he may desire at the time. (yes, he wrings kisuke for all the cheapskate will give him.) * any of kensei's close acquaintances that would know grimmjow since that's his husband. ^^
