Smoke but no fire: North Shore practises wildfire response and evacuations ahead of summer
The North Shore Emergency Management is simulating a wildfire and conducting a mock evacuation to improve its response in an exercise called Operation Dry Lighting.

B.C’s MRI strategy ‘dramatically’ exceeding target, minister says
The B.C. Health Ministry is touting the success of its Surgical and Diagnostic Imaging Strategy. Health Minister Adrian Dix says there have been more than 233,000 MRI exams completed in the first year or an additional 44,000 since the B.C. NDP brought in the strategy a year ago.

Garbage sent to Philippines 6 years ago is on its way back to Vancouver
Canada has made a formal offer to have more than six dozen containers of Canadian household trash returned to the Port of Vancouver nearly six years after it was sent to Manila labelled incorrectly as plastics for recycling.
