001.          BRAKEBILLS.          do i need a real plot for this ?    magic school. 

002.          FALLEN ANGEL.          she’s in the spotlight ,   full of grief.    her mother was a once famous actress ,   her father an old filmmaker ,    now professor.     and she was a star on the rise ,   a shoe-in for the us women’s soccer team   ––    whose career comes crashing down after a near fatal injury.     he comes to know perry first ,   perry who is lonely and quiet and easily overwhelmed in a way that sam can related to.    perry who is envious of the anonymity sam holds.    and through their blossoming friendship ,   sam meets bee. 

003.          SUCCUBUS.          they’re just friends ,   but he finds her irresistible.    she refuses to hook up with guys that she knows ,   or to get involved romantically.     when she drunkenly admits to having killed someone ,   it’s sam that helps her research what she really is ,   and sam that offers to help her control it.    bonus point for famous sam maybe. 

004.          SOULMATE.          bridget and sam have been best friends since they were in diapers ,  and sam’s seen her through everything.    when sam’s soulmate mark appears on his eighteenth birthday ,   he’s overjoyed to see that it’s   bridget .    but when bridget hears the news ,   she automatically assumes it’s platonic ,   and sam is crushed. 

005.          MUTANT.          after the particle accelerator explodes ,   rumors of mutant abilities popping up in every day life start circulating on the internet.    sam evans frequents message boards and online servers documenting odd occurrences where he meets perry vreeland.     he’s smart beyond belief ,   and helps sam through figuring the weird things happening to his body.    and when perry says he thinks they should meet,   sam discovers perry thinks he and his sister have abilities ,   too.

Bridget stared at her brother. For some reason she thought of Eric, and with that thought came the dawning of a certain set of objective facts. Yes, her family was alienated. On their best days they were eccentric. They were not happy; they were not close. But still. Here she was standing in front of Perry, her own brother—her twin, for God’s sake—whom she had hardly seen this year.  She pushed a pile of techie magazines out of the way and hoisted herself onto his desk. She was going to talk with her brother. They hadn’t had a single real conversation since Christmas. Out of guilt alone, she would torture him. [...] His hair had always been darker than hers, and now it had turned completely brown, probably accelerated by his staying inside all the time. He had untended fuzz on his upper lip, but otherwise he looked as though he had barely entered puberty. 004.    bridget   &   claire novak     :     they’d always told her her mother was crazed.     creative.    had a wandering mind.     but the short stories and notes bridget had held on to all her life ,    stories of vampires ,   and ghosts ,   and demons    –––     those stories are   r e a l .      once in love with a hunter in her teens ,   a vessel ,    marly knew about the world no one else saw ,   too much ,    too soon ,    too fragile.      years later ,    when marly is dead and the world is on the brink of a supernatural apocalypse ,    those notes save her daughter’s life.     bridget is a quick learner ,   and fiercely defends her brother ,    who is all she has left.      bridget then meets claire novak in the rush to stay alive ,   and they join forces to survive. 

005.    bridget   &   nate archibald     :     he thinks it’s one of serena’s games at first ,   when he calls her and she doesn’t turn to look at him.     but suddenly he’s seeing her everywhere ,   and even gossip girl is confused.    when bridget strolls up to him on the columbia campus ,   asking if he knew and eric richman on the soccer team and where he might be ,   he finally realizes   :    this isn’t serena van der woodsen at all.     and the gang has to figure out how the hell a serena doppleganger even exists.     probably lily was pregnant with twins but was told one of the babies passed who knows it’s gossip girl. 

alternatively ,    but just as crack-y .  .  .    not 100% gossip girl but maybe serena is a human doppelganger and bridget is a vampire ,   so they’re not twins.
