(Who’s actually more closely related to a jumping spider…)

Age: 14 at the start of vigilante career 

Gender: if given choice between male and female on a form they would cross both and just write Lacey they/them

Skills: skilled violinist, and music enthusiast, has an interest in textile hobby’s (sewing knitting etc) avid reader of fantasy novels.

abilities: super strength, wall crawling, organic webs, heightened senses,“spider sense”, venomous bite, ten foot vertical leap, extremely enhanced vision, the ability to communicate with spiders (this turns out not to be very useful except for talking to buttons Spiders aren’t exactly social creatures)

Lacey is a runaway living on the streets of New York City with their best friend buttons. A former foster kid, (sources at bottom) Lacey gets their spider powers after getting kidnapped while on the road to the city (this will be what the first chapter will be about) after they decide to use their new spider powers to protect the unprotected.

Age: … like four maybe five? (how is she supposed to know!)

Skills: engineering, chemistry, coding, drawing.

abilities: Genius-level intellect, super strength (for a rat), wall crawling,

Gender: gender is a very human concept that buttons doesn’t really care about, she just tells people to use she/her

a former-class-pet-turned-lab-rat-turned-spider-rat. Buttons met Lacey when they were kidnapped by buttons former principal, after they decided to travel together to New York, buttons later becomes Lacey’s tech rat.

Hey guys if you’re following me for a while you might remember this commission I got from the wonderful and talented @beebfreeb (go commission it it’s great) 

Well I just wanted everyone to know that they now star in a story I’m writing!!
