"Well I wouldn't say, head for business per se", Dallon said. And it was true. There was a million and a half things he was sure he could be doing more efficiently at Blazed. But he knew enough with his grandmother and step dad in his back pocket to pick their brains. "Some days it's pretty good, some days it's more slow. I mainly just have some regulars, and contracts with a couple of venues and it keeps me a float."
"Really? Only a year? Dude, you have a head for business and stuff like that. So let me ask you a question. What kind of business do you on a busy day?" Kaden asked curiously as he wanted to help and even donate to her but he wanted to know how honest this gentleman would be to him.

There was a little smirk that graced his lips. "Ah nah. Son of Sam didn't know his killers personally type thing. He just went up to random cars. But uh, anyways. You can keep that", he said nodding towards her money. "It's a new item. So just, feed back would be nice."
she grinned, taking the can of cola and popping it open with a satisfying hiss. ❝ that's mighty sweet of you, ❞ taking a sip and letting the cool liquid dance on her tongue, she leaned against the counter, tilting her head to the side as she studied the other. ❝ beau... name's beau. ❞ she said with a wiggle of her brows, digging into her handbag to pull out some cash for her meal. ❝ don't go all son of sam on me. ❞

There was small giggle that flowed through Vi. Leaning forward, the younger blonde passed a plate with a bagel and cream cheese to the other. "Maybe. But it's alright, you clearly were beat. Hungry?"
Blue hues blinked confusedly when she heard the others cheerful good morning call while Gigi was still trying to figure out where the hell she was. And what time and day and probably universe she'd found herself in — yes, that's how deep her slumber had been. "What? No, I didn't-" She began to protest but quickly realised this was not her apartment or the studio's couch she'd fallen asleep on so there really was only one other option. "Sorry. I promised I'd make it til the end of the movie again, didn't I?"

Picking up her plate, Violet moved closer to her friend. Choosing to park herself on the arm off the couch as she held out the other piece of avo toast topped with an egg to Roxana. "Maybe", the blonde said wiggling the plate of food slightly to entice the other. "Well you make for a cute cat, but really you might as well move in if you're gonna sleep here this much. Everything ok?" There was a small silence that fell as she checked in on the brunette. "You know you can tell me anything right?"
There was a small grumble that came from the young woman as she attempted to stretch. It was then that she realized she was on the couch and she muttered a little self depreciation to herself before adjusting her position. Now sitting up, she ran her hands through her hair and rubbed at her eyes. "Morning." It was smiled that then turned into a laugh. "I really need to stop crashing on your couch, Vi. I'm starting to feel like a stray cat you just scooped up off the street and let sleep here."

Ash had payed little attention to the woman in front of him until she'd spoke. A small grin on his lips and she shook his head. "Oh, you're absolutely fine", he told the woman. "I actually haven't been here either, so, unfortunately I'm going to be of little help to you right now. I actually just moved here. But hey, if you're ever in New York, I can tell you exactly where to go."

Hana strolled into the brightly lit café after a difficult dance practice. her dark eyes glanced over the menu that was above the register, unsure of what sounded good at the moment. without her eyes moving she could sense that someone was behind her now. "You can go ahead of me." She paused briefly before finally looking over at the person that walked in after her, smiling as she saw who she was talking to. "I have no idea what to get. have you been here before?"

Somehow her words were worse then the silence, just driving home that she didn't really want him. She just wanted a distraction, but all he wanted was her. Her presence, her touch, her laugh, her bubbly self he knew she could be. God, he fucking hated her ex. He hated how he even now seemed to loom over her life. And he wished that he could help. Help push every thought of him out of her mind. But she still had his shit laying around, clearly there was no room in her life for him. Not like how he wanted to be in it. "It's fine", he said, trying his best to not let the melancholy seep into his tone. "Like I said, it's really not a big deal." He couldn't look her in the eye more then a second, for every moment his steel blue eyes met her dark mahogany ones he felt that knife twisting in his guts.
Maybe this wasn't the best idea, agreeing so see her. Especially seeing as they just seemed to be going around in circles. There was something there. But there was no way to tell if she actually felt the same way, and despite her being single, it still didn't feel like the right time to make his feelings known. After all, she still had his shit around. And as much as he wanted to help her pack it all up and throw it out, there was a catharsis to packing up your ex's shit and burning it. When she asked about work, about how he was liking the move, Ash did the polite thing and nodded along. "Oh yeah, it's been ok. I mean, I did get a few months before I started actually working. But it's alright. Not my favorite, not the worst city I've been in." Ash shoved his hands in his pockets as he turned back on his heels to face her. He had to keep them in his pockets or risk reaching out and touching her like he'd been waiting to for years. Pursing his lips, Ash gave her a little shrug, the lull in the conversation just fueling the little anxiety monster that lived inside of his chest. "So..."

Ley had busied them self, scrolling through their emails down to the one from their editor about this interview. Skimming over it, there was no mention of her name. Almost as if someone had removed it on purpose, but that couldn't have been the case. Ley could feel their former flame's eye gouging holes into them. Of course this had to happen their first week on the job. "Amity", Ley grumbled, much more vibrato to their voice since the last time they spoke. Pulling in a deep breath, ley moved closer to their ex, finding the movements easy. Hell they wanted to be close to her. Wanted to hug her, hold her, and never let her go ever again. Reaching back in their bag, Ley produced a notepad with questions in someone else's writing. Holding it out for her, Ley looked at her defeated. "It's my first interview for the magazine. First day. I was assigned this and given the questions because the last person in my position left so quickly. But if you really want to be done, here." He nodded towards the notepad. "Answer the questions and just email them to me. Or don't do it at all and I'll just go back empty handed."
well this was a fucking complex situation. crossing her arms over her chest, amity continued to RBF her way through this interaction. the scowl that rested over her features hiding the residual heartbreak that lay beneath the surface. they were so different, at least physically and even how they sounded. part of amity's heart beat faster seeing them like this, because it wasn't like she'd been keeping up with ley's socials. but the other part of her just wanted to be as far away from them as possible, unable to really face this part of her past yet. "last i checked, yeah." she nodded, her sarcastic tone emphasising her frustrations. "looks like you're so well researched i guess we can just go home right?"

"Gooood morning, sleepy head", the blonde chimed, her melodic voice muffled yet still cheery as she took a bite of her avocado toast. Vi couldn't help but smile, letting out a giggle as the other seemed to be struggling with the early morning. "You fell asleep on the couch... Again..."

he hadn't been there long, really. just enough time for immy to have brought him something to drink as she sat down beside ash on her decently sized balcony whilst the los angeles dusk fell around them. her dark eyes gazing over the orange and pink horizon before settling back on him again. feeling a strange sense of urgency to perform and be a good host in some way she tried to overcompensate. "sorry it's kind of a mess in there..." she was attempting some damage control. after all this was the first time he'd ever really gotten to see her (now too big) apartment and she hadn't really been able to clean up since mikey moved, and there was still so much of his stuff around which sucked. but she wanted to do anything she could not to think about that, instead she tried to fill the silence with conversation about him. "so, how are you finding LA? did you get time to settle in before starting at pinnacle or were you just like straight into it?"

"Interesting take", ash grumbled. He knew that she was just trying to not feed into his negative energy. Trying to deescalate the situation and his anxiety. "It's what happened mom. Dallon straight up quit and joined another band. Now it's just me, and Grandma Abbie is being absolutely insufferable. I don't know how you were in this business so long..."
status: open location: up to player, maybe somewhere corporate like pinnacle records or sonic HQ but whatever works
"hm," the woman murmured, her lips pursing ever so slightly as the other continued on. she remained fully attentive on the conversation. just allowing the person to conclude their sentence before she held onto the silence a little longer. pausing for effect, "that's an interesting take."

"That's perfectly alright Ms. Flores. I promise I'll work fast." Swinging his camera bag off his shoulder, Ley moved across the room to their empty chair across from the pop star. Never in a million years did they think they could be interviewing someone at this level their first month on the job. "Is it ok that I call you that? I would address you as Solar in the interview, but what would you rather I call you?"
"ohhhh, yes that sounds familiar now." anything before july she leaves up to her manager to remember for her, october is so far away. but she's done this interview before, and is happy to do it again. "forgive me, clearly i'm not all there today." solana has successfully turned it back around on her, hopefully putting them more at ease even if tardiness is one of her pet peeves. "unfortunately i can't offer an extension of time as i have a fitting after this, so we'd better fit in what we can."

There was a small grimace on Ley's face as the man talked up their skills. Certainly the editor was just being kind, trying to talk up their newest employee. And here he'd shown up late. "Right, right", they said, moving across the room in the longest strides they could without looking awkward. Ley reached out to take the man's hand, offering him a firm shake before taking a seat across from him. Digging through their bag, Ley produced their camera along with a tape recorder and note pad, all the while apologizing once more. "Again, I'm very sorry I was late. I'm pretty new to the city, and just got lost finding this place."
Jayden had been sitting in his office at Reckless records answering some emails from sponsors and getting some stuff sorted out for the next Saving Annie tour coming up this summer into the fall as saw the male poke his head in and said "No no. I'm actually behind. I had come into the office late. Please come in." The male said as he put his hand out and said "Jayden Hanson, lead singer of Saving Annie and CEO of Reckless Records. So, I believe I spoke to your editor about you were the best in the office. So, lets get this interview started. "

"I wanna know everyone's name who supports my business, just makes me that much more interested when it's a beautiful woman like yourself." Her proposition didn't go unnoticed, leaning back, Dallon opened the fridge just enough to reach in and grab a can. Setting it on the counter before her with an added wink. "On the house, name or no name,"
❝ wanna know my name, huh? how can i be sure that you're not a TOTAL creep? ❞ she teased, playfully propping herself up on her tippy toes, trying to peek over the counter. she nodded her head towards the drink fridge, a playful challenge evident in her expression. ❝ you gonna give me a zero sugar cola on the house? ❞
