i love how when a kh fan refers to three characters as a trio sometimes it’s like ‘this is literally canon it’s an established group in the story and acknowledged by official art/marketing/etc’ and sometimes it’s like ‘ok so we don’t strictly speaking have proof that the three of them have ever interacted before or even know each other exist but listen dude just trust me. it could be so cool’

I feel like if Xehanort and Eraqus reunited with their classmates in the afterlife Bragi would definitely be there but like. The real one.

Bragi's like "Hey, it's nice to finally meet you." and Xehanort's like "What? What does that mean? Are you pulling my leg?"

Bragi shakes his head. "Oh, I guess you never found out, huh? Yeah the Bragi you knew wasn't the real me. This random dude I ran into one day kicked me out of my own body and I've been here ever since."

Xehanort is dumbfounded. He's like 90 years old (time-wise) and he thought there was nothing left in life to surprise him.

Eraqus has to try really hard to resist the temptation of intentionally making Xehanort's afterlife more difficult by blurting out, "Oh, so like what Xehanort did to my apprentice."

Dark Road holiday icons part 1!

The recent completion of Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road has had me catching a lot of feels…I wish that there had been more time to get to know both

just played a chess game against death, poor fucker kept losing. at a certain point i saw him crying so we switched it up to checkers. hes still not beating me but hes not crying anymore so thats nice

I was thinking about Kairi and Vor parallels (as one does) and these two scenes are like sisters to me.

"Maybe waiting (for my friends to return to me) isn't good enough." vs. "Maybe staying with my friends isn't good enough."

"You want to achieve your dream of reuniting with your friends? Okay, then do something about it!" vs. "You want to achieve your dream of becoming a Keyblade Master? Okay, then do something about it!"

Axel: "I can take you to your friends" vs. Vidar: "I can take you away from your friends." (I didn't include it here, but Vidar also puts his hand out to Vor like Axel does.)

Dark portal vs. Light portal

In the past, I compared this Kairi and Axel scene to a similar scene in KHDR where Ansem SoD approaches a young Xehanort for the first time, and this has just made it even more clear to me that Vidar convincing Vor to leave her friends is also a parallel to Ansem SoD convincing Xehanort to leave Destiny Islands. (Which makes sense given Xehanort's line to Vor about "embracing change" and learning to build new relationships.)
