in case anyone didn't know, source separation doesn't have to be changing your name/appearance/whole identity or not identifying with your source at all anymore. while that's a way you can go about it and it's completely valid, source separation is also finding interests outside of interacting with your source, finding things you like outside of what you think your source would like, not pressuring yourself to act exactly like your source, and just letting yourself become your own person outside of your source. you dont have to stop seeing your source as you/a part of you to grow outside of it.

they don’t have a birthday ⁉️ hmmmm. they feel like march babies to me. this is my educated guess as someone who doesn’t know a thing about what being a Pisces means, but it feels like they were born in March or May to me.

It’s time for another headcanon poll!

During Endwalker, it’s revealed that even though both twins were admitted to the Studium at age 11, Alphinaud actually started half a year earlier than Alisaie. They don’t explain why, but oh well.

Later if you do Ameliance’s custom deliveries, she says the twins graduated on the same day. (Fourchenault couldn’t attend because of work. Alphinaud was upset but understood. Alisaie was pissed.)

So I’m running on the assumption that the Studium is equivalent to university, and I’m American so I only have that experience to draw from. My university held two graduation ceremonies each year, for winter and spring graduates (I graduated in December 2011.) If Alisaie started a semester after Alphinaud did, and still graduated alongside him, then there’s three possibilities:

1. Alisaie busted her ass to catch up to Alphinaud. (Finished in four and a half years compared to his five, or however long it took.)

2. Alphinaud actually struggled his first semester and therefore took longer to graduate. Or maybe his field of study required more time?

3. They took the same amount of time individually to finish school, but the Studium only has one ceremony a year unlike US colleges, so maybe Alphinaud had to wait a bit after he actually finished his courses.

I like Alisaie's continuous distaste for self sacrifice. In a genre where self sacrifice is usually something noble and necessary, it's refreshing to see a character say "No. There is another way. You are not losing it all for this cause. You will live to see your efforts bear fruit."
