I need to figure out so much
Since my friend decided to talk about both how excited they are and how much work they have to do, I think I'll do the same.
I really like working on this, but there's no internal consistency at all... magic works different depending on the episode and season, and so I need to figure out what's actually going on, and same for everything else.
It's really fun, though. I love building from the already stated concepts (the differences between Magiks and Witchcraft, different species, etc...)
Anyways, I feel really excited about worldbuilding and so I'm gonna maybe start talking about how different species work? Not sure, I'm kinda busy cause of college...

Eclipse are you okay????
- Red
I have 31+ characters to redesign and its unnecessarily complicated
So, I’m Eclipse from @red-and-eclipses-aphmau-rewrite and I’ve just started designing the characters. I’m on Mica(formerly KC) and I’m only on the PDH uniform(which is the one im starting with for each character that needs it) I HAVE DO DRAW 2+ VERSIONS FOR MICA(An Iris in evening light/MyStreet) ALONE, I STILL HAVE TO DO PURPLE HYANTHACITH AT DAWN FOR MICA. I UNDERESTIMATED THE PROJECT BUT I HAVE TO SEE IT THROUGH THE END YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Psst, here, have a sneak peak for Mica

Deus Supra
Deus Supra
The first time Aphira sees the Lady, she is young. Her dad has taken her and her mom to the cathedral of the Divine in O'Khasis, and Aph doesn't really know what's going on. It's loud in the cathedral, and there's a group outside yelling about... something. Something about portraits changing. Aph doesn't know what that's about. If she's being honest, she likes the new portraits. They seem... comforting. Familiar. In a distant way, at least.
"Aphi, look at the pictures!" her dad says, laughing as he lifts her up, "They look like you!"
Aph doesn't say anything. She doesn't talk much, but she knows what he means. They do.
---------------------
When Aph is five, her father takes her and her mom to a lodge on a mountain. It's nice, and she gets to spend time with her friends all the time! They're always there, and there's new people to meet, too! Travis and Katelyn are almost as great as Zinnia and Garroth. There's other kids, but their father won't let her meet them. She doesn't like it, because she wants to meet them too.
One day, she's left to explore. It's warm, and there's no snow on the ground, and she can see a strange cave in the woods. She wants to know what's in there.
Eventually, she stumbles upon a cave filled with glowing green rocks. It's beautiful, and she's nearly transfixed staring at them.
"I don't think you're supposed to be here, little one." says a voice.
Aph whirls around and sees a vaguely familiar woman. The woman looks like her.
"It's not a safe place to be." she says, calmly. "Those who frequent this place have no intentions of keeping you safe."
Aph doesn't know what to say, once again. Still she tries to ask one thing, "Who... are you?"
"That is a complicated question to answer. I do not quite know myself. Still. Please follow me. I'll take you back to where you're staying."
The woman holds out her hand, and Aph takes it.
She leads Aph back to the lodge, yet... vanishes before they cross the treeline.
Her dad is in the main room, pacing and nervous, when Aph opens the door, and Aph rambles excitedly to him about her explorations and the woman.
She doesn't see her dad's friend look at her with interest as she talks about it.
---------------------
Aphira doesn't remember when she saw the Lady anymore. Sure, Zianna has taken her, Garroth, and Zane to the cathedral in O'Khasis, generally in conjunction with a larger trip to O'Khasis. Aph loves when Zianna and Garte take the three of them to O'Khasis, honestly, but understands why it doesn't happen often.
The Ro'Meaves have an... unpleasant history with O'Khasis, after all.
Aph has been drawing, lately. Drawing is nice and calming. She likes it, and it's something she has that's uniquely hers.
However, the drawings often take familiar shapes. The faces of people she sees in her nightmares. The faces of people who she watches fall in her nightmares.
She can never save them, no. Just watch as they fall, again and again, feeling guilt for broken bodies with faces she doesn't recognize.
It never ends.
---------------------
After the Lodge, Aph sees the Lady wherever she goes. She stands in shop aisles and sidewalks, invisible to everyone else. Sometimes, Aph cannot see her face and her gleaming golden eyes every time, but she can always see the markings.
She tries to stay inside, but the Lady is standing in the kitchen when she wakes up, smiling at her, kindly. She hides in her room, instead.
It's not enough.
Aph wants her to go away. She doesn't deserve the kindness the Lady offers, not after what she's done. She should've done more, should've fought, should've been better.
And yet, when she opens her eyes, the Lady is sitting on her bed, giving her a hug. Whispering that it's okay, that she's not a failure, that... that Aaron still loves her.
Perhaps, this can be enough. At least for now.

More hair without color!!
Zane, Katelyn, and Aaron aren't bald anymore!! I am okay with constructive criticism, but this is my interpretation. This is a really weird angle but I'll try and get a more concise photo(probably a scan) later when I have the time.

Hyria
So Hyria was the goddess of magic in the past, however, as even gods pay prices for the things they do, she discovered the costs of her own abilities. Every time she used the magic she created to help people, the cruel side of magic got stronger.
So she left, to live in the woods and teach others responsible use of magic.
One day, she met the Divine Warriors, and tried to teach them that the change they desired would have ramifications, though she could not convince them.
Now, she works at Phoenix Drop High, teaching others magic.

What I Want: A Phoenix Drop High Aphira Shalashaka Character Study
The first day in a new school is always the hardest, according to the people on the forum. You feel even less like you belong.
No one says anything about the first day of school after being homeschooled for most of your life. Aphira doesn't know how many differences there are between that and normal going to a new school. Maybe there are more than she realized.
She can't panic now. She's too close to getting to know more people. Garroth, at least, understands her desire to be noticed. Zane's been acting weird the last few months.
Sometimes, she remembers the text from FC when she told him she was nervous about going to a new school. "Well, what do you want?". And she wonders. What does she want out of this?
Friends? No, she has those already, even if there's only really three. Popularity? Hell no, she doesn't want that kind of attention. All the movies she's seen that have super popular characters have made that clear. Romance? Maybe, but that doesn't feel quite like it's what she's looking for.
It takes her a while, lying in bed the day before the first day of school, but eventually, she understands.
What she wants is to not feel like she doesn't belong anywhere at all. What she wants is to belong.

An Introduction to One of the Forgotten Gods
So because all the holidays were different, I couldn't exactly have Santa or a similar being in Her Wish, so the question came as to what to do to make Her Wish work. The answer? A forgotten god now known as the Wish-Seller. So here, have the bit of Wish-Seller lore I've written
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Wish Seller was a god once, not a folktale. He was Erial, god of idle fantasies, and he was quite the flashy god. He would grant people's fantasies left and right, not seeing the cost to each. With each gift, he would give up a little bit of himself. A melody he had heard, some power, bits of his identity, until one day, he was completely unrecognizable.
He was lucky, though. He made the most of it. It was easy to become the Wish Seller, and easier still to create new stories. He would give people their fantasies for a cost. A story, a treasured memory, a childhood trinket. Always, it turned out to be something more than he thought. Often, he would try to convince people that their fantasies weren't worth what they gave up.
One day, a woman found him, offering half of her life for her sister to meet some version of her family.
It was the best thing he'd ever done in his life. It was the worst mistake of his life.
It was all worth it for the joy on that woman's face.
Sometimes, the Wish Seller wonders if he is a monster. If still granting people their fantasies when he knows the costs... if that makes him a monster.

What's even up with the lack of biodiversity on Ru'Aun?
So Ru'Aun is technically an entire continent, full of villages and the occasional city, right? So why do you only ever see a few of those?
Also, where are the mountains, where are the grasslands, hell, what's the climate of this place? Do I really have to rebuild Ru'Aun from scratch to make this place make sense?
What are the forests composed of? Any of this, please, just don't make me have to change the entirety of the continent to make this place make sense.

I Want to Talk About Shadow Knights
So, in my rewrite, it will be explicitly mentioned that people see the "faces of the dead" underneath the helmets of Shadow Knights. This doesn't just mean people they know are dead or something like that. Shadow Knights are undead, and they look it, unless they've disguised themselves.
The other important thing about Shadow Knights is that not all of them are bad people or whatever. Some of them are just ordinary people who caught Shad's attention for doing something like having a skill that could help him.
People randomly go missing, and their faces only reappear under those infernal helmets. The first few months are a careful combination of torture and brainwashing to ensure that the Shadow Knight is eternally loyal. Of course, it doesn't always stick, does it?

Demons: What Are They Really?
So, Demons. Travis is a quarter Demon. Sasha is a Half-Demon. But what are they really?
Demons are a race from another world who came with intentions of assisting in the survival of the people of this planet, then only humans. However, the humans feared them, called them Demons because the humans could not understand them.
They are the ones who built the Celestial Cannon, an attempt to protect this strange planet from danger.
They didn't expect to get betrayed by one of their own. His name, translated to one of the humans' many languages, was Michael. He was stationed on the Cannon, and he realized he desired the power it could tell him. He shoved one of his superiors under the focus, and absorbed the relic it created.
The rest of the Demons began to evacuate, except for Niran, the commander of the Cannon. He stayed with a promise to hold the Cannon, and keep it safe.
He was easily manipulated by Lady Irene, though once he realized this, he tried to fix it.
He couldn't for millennia, though. When he had the chance, he realized what the Cannon had become. He swore to never let it be used again.
The other Demons scattered, mingling with humans, and eventually joining them. There came Half-Demons and Quarter-Demons. There are very few full Demons, by now, though Enki the Keeper was one.
His bloodline should've always been told how to control their Demonic power.

A Conversation: A Post-Season 6 Snapshot
Katelyn sits on the bed, hugging her knees to her chest. What have they done? She tried to kill her love. They don't deserve Lucinda's forgiveness.
Lucinda comes in with a mug of hot chocolate. "I thought you might want something comforting, Kitty-Cat."
Katelyn doesn't know what to do. Does she take Luci's offer?
"You're still in bad shape, aren't you?" Luci whispers. "Don't worry, I understand. It's horrible to be like that, trapped in your mind while you hurt those you care about."
How could Luci know that? "What?"
"Oh... We never did talk about what happened at the Lodge, did we?"
"No, but what does that have to do with anything?"
"I was controlled too, you know."
"What?!"
"Ein... he captured me, trapped me in my mind, made me make those horrible potions."
"No..." Katelyn gasps. How dare he hurt their Luci?
"Yes. It was horrible. I couldn't even do a thing. I had to watch everything... as Aphira was forced to hate Aaron, as Aphira tried to kill Aaron... And so much more."
"Oh, Luci..."
Katelyn takes the hot chocolate from her Luci. They need to relax, they think. Ein is dead, and she can't kill him.
That night, they fall asleep in each other's arms.

So What's Up With The Different Last Names?
As a part of the project, I have made the decision to create multiple languages, and most of the last names are now in one of these conlangs, specifically Anior. I'm actually enjoying this project, especially since I get to make specific names for all sorts of things. So, for example, Lucinda's last name has changed from Tredefeu to Arentfare. It still means Fire-Walker, just... different.

Have a Peek at the Languages of Ru'Aun and their Evolution
Tumblr media
Fun facts: It's common for people to know at least two of these languages, generally Irun and Atuin, though people who don't naturally speak Aroten may learn it as a hobby.
There's also an awful habit of dismissing Aroten as a godless language because of its relationships to Anior (Labeled as Ariton in this because I changed the name of the language after making this) and Iroiten, both believed to have connections to evil gods.
