dragon bash! my god, dragon bash! wow, knut, what beautiful ice sculptures, did you have those specially made for the festival? no, he laughs, merely dead racers! we use them as landmarks now! it's a proud norn tradition to fill our raceways with random debris and it fills my heart with joy to see so many participants taking that responsibility on for themselves. quickly! the tour continues! here are forty beetles struggling to roll uphill. some are being overtaken by the moas! outstanding!

i love the little wintersday race in divinity's reach because that eleven month gap makes us rollerbeetle tryhards get cocky. we're fresh off halloween, doing doughnuts in the mad king's pumpkin patch and ruining the soil quality for years to come, how hard is the cute little festive race. we're rolling up to the start line with our chai lattes thinking it will be nothing. our beetles also have lattes. the normal people who are just here to have 'fun' in the 'video game' are on their raptors. and then the race starts and we rev those bad boys up and smash, at 90mph, into every single wall in that city. hit the finish line three weeks later in body bags that make mulch sounds when you press on them. and then the daily rolls around and we don't learn a single lesson. camp any corner in that city in late december and you will see the 'do not do' portion of a driver's ed film unfold with horrifying regularity. by the time we figure it out, wintersday is done and we have a packed schedule of comas to be in. if you're a new player and you don't know where the festival hub is walk into divinity's reach and follow the trail of gore. i look forward to doing this next year

a lot of the skiff skins are very pretty, floaty, ornate, which makes sense because the more appealing they are the more likely a person is to purchase one, but i’m a slut for a theme and would love to see a barely-holding-together legion clunker. i’m talking barely seaworthy, black smoke, polluting mess of a ship. i have enough gold kicking around for an impulse purchase should one come up, but i think i’m more likely to see a fire themed one first
