concept: a death god that is actually surprisingly supportive and on the side of the good guys, supporting actions and promoting policies that will lead to the kingdom growing and thriving instead of being destroyed, because the more the kingdom grows, the more people there are, and the more people there are the more people will eventually  die, and when you’re an immortal god of death, you know there’s no need to rush. you’ll get them all in the end

I love a character raised to be a weapon as much as the next guy. But what really gets me is a character raised to be a shield. Who can’t fathom being needed—or even being wanted— beyond keeping others safe. Who believe they are alive only to insure someone doesn’t die. no matter the cost. Characters who self-sacrifice not because they think they deserve it, but because no one else does deserve it, and it’s their job to protect.

Characters who’ve been told that’s why your important. Your worth something because this other person/ thing is important, and you are here solely to keep them safe.

Bonus points if it’s not a legitimate job they’ve been given. Maybe at one point it was, but now that they are free from it, they haven’t given up that mentality. No one is forcing or asking them to do this, but they need to. They need to in order to be deserving.

//Another day, another Deep Structures interlude, this time featuring some prospective stalkers! I'm sure you guys remember Peyton, my little SAO loyalist who was completely dedicated to the Song until they found out about some of SAO's bigger war crimes. Well, Peyton's back, and they were roped into a little 'refinement' lesson to test their loyalty and sharpen their skills! They haven't stalked since they ran off, after all, and they've been under house arrest since they were found after Sundown, so they need a good refresher &lt;3 //While they did pass their test and survive their lesson, Peyton, well... they may be a ruthless bloodstalker at times, but they also have a code, and sometimes, that code makes you hesitate. But there's nothing a little motivation from your unrepentant monster of a trainer can't fix :) //Character in the background is Zeke, also known as Stalker1, and the bastard himself was created by TwistedArcana and occasionally gets puppetted around by @jateshi ! Snap Team: Assemble!

//So I ended up in a fun little TBC campaign called Deep Structures, and I specifically am in an interlude for an all-hands-on-deck surprise team called the Snap Team! GMed by @jateshi and her lovely friend TwistedArcana, these poor kids have been put through the ringer and somehow keep avoiding dying! It's amazing! They're like silly little cockroaches! :D //As you can see, Vien's a part of this group under a new alias, and he's joined by Kyle [Kyle on discord], the Spectacular Skid [Rav on discord], Ray [Holo on discord], and Annie [Khada on discord]!
