Daily Banger Review
Fat Trel – SDMG 2
Fat Trel is a productive mixtape rapper, churning out one to two projects a year. He is a Trap rapper from DC with heavy Chicago drill influences. When I first heard him rap I myself thought he was from Chicago. This tape is a sequel to his 2013 effort Sex, Drugs, Money, Guns, the project which put him on fan hip-hop fan’s radar and set him apart from others doing drill an trap music at the time. Songs like Thots and No Lamez were standouts. He also made it clear to the public that rappers from DC have their own sound as his music is very reminiscent of Wale with the two of them sharing similar flows. However, Trel’s music is much more street orientated ironically making him a much more appropriate fit for their Label MMG than Wale. This tape stood as a respectable sequel to SDMG and a much need improvement over his Christmas time effort Muva Russia. Songs that stand out on this Tape are All my Life ft Dave East and Act a Fool. The best track is Run da City. Production is solid, and his bars are decent, area that kind of threw me off was the features. He gives shine to a lot of DC rappers and most of them are interesting to listen to, but their names do not ring out like the features exhibited on the originally SDMG which included YG, Danny Brown, and Wale. Despite this being a solid effort, it does not offer anything innovative, just similar from what we have already seen from Trel’s career.

if you follow the paintbrush with your eyes while not moving your head, it forces you to use emdr which is a therapeutic technique to calm anxiety/panic. watching fish swim causes the same effect.
I don’t have a favorite post on Tumblr, I don’t have things that I ‘always’ reblog.
But this is one thing I love seeing on my dash, I love having it on my blog, it really helps to calm me down and its amazing.
